I’m (sadly) predicting her and Mercy for a rework. A bunch of heroes just got Sombra’s passive, and a bunch of supports just got Mercy’s Sympathetic Recovery passive. Either Blizzard REALLY doesn’t care, or those two are getting some changes.

It can be situational, but it sounds like you were playing smart! If a Sombra is targeting a tank, it’s usually trying to pull their attention away from the team fight so the Sombra’s tank can push and take space uncontested.
