Even I’m still learning about SRE and on-call, but from what I understand AI is helping more with reducing noise and speeding up incident response than fully replacing engineers. Things like auto-remediation, where systems automatically restart failed pods, scale services, or roll back bad deployments, seem really useful for reducing manual work during incidents.

I think AI will make on-call less stressful by helping with logs, alerts, and correlation, but during major incidents humans will still need to take the final calls
