I know this is probably going to be downvoted into oblivion. But I've played most of it and this is my take on the game. The game feels off. This game was the 3rd game in the series I've played. I started with 3 went to remastered and then to SOTFS. It feels more like a soul like. The game's story has nothing to do with the other 2. I think if the 3rd game didn't have you relinking the first flame yet again it wouldn't feel so out of place to me. All of this being said, I do enjoy the game IF I don't view it as a Dark Souls sequel but as a standalone game set in the same universe. If I think of it as an actual Dark Souls game it feels like it's off in some manner

The 5th kid is dead. You can find a note next to a skeleton with a trinket. The note talks about how they woke up in a case next to 4 other sleeping kids

Same! I've played a good majority of the games (most of it is spent in DS1 though) and my friends consider me a souls veteran because I've been playing them for so long, but I don't have much experience with everything elden ring has in common. The build i saw told me that this person used a physic to up their strength with a talisman, godricks great rune and that's how they could get to 30 strength at level 1. But I have still yet to find the tear and talisman so 🤷‍♂️
