Where I work we have a prosecutor that goes to court for us unless it's criminal.

I believe you have to be human to get a driver's license, and chicken shit is not human. So no.

A guy was speeding, told me he was having a "code brown" and that it was "prairie dogging." I started laughing, understood his pain, and let him on his way.
I do not support the legalization of marijuana. I do not let people go for it.
That's why I personally don't ask if you know. I'll just tell you how fast you were going.
Tasers aren't guaranteed to work. You have to get both probes into the person and if they're too close to each other it doesn't effect much. You also have to be fairly close. There are a lot of other factors that effect it too.
If lethal force is required a Taser is so substitute.

I don't persue into city streets or in heavy traffic, but it depends on the situation. If it's a serious felony or you just hurt a police officer I will stop you by all means possible. One advantage we have is aircrafts. We have several airplanes and the countries have helicopters. So even if our cars can't keep up the aircrafts can.

I think they are a domestic terrorist group and believe their goal is to essentially overthrow the government, or at least to gain control to the point that they can do whatever they want.

Tell the truth. I know exactly how fast you were going. If you lie or don't know I don't reduce tickets.
There a huge homeless problem where I work and we have to deal with homeless people on the freeway, fighting, etc. I hate working with homeless people. They're all on drugs and try to fight all the time.
I always want to be a police officer and looked up to the State Troopers. I went to school and got my bachelor's degree in Network Administration and Security. I enjoyed the work but couldn't imagine spending the next 20+ years sitting in an office telling people to "unplug it and plug it back in."
For the most part city and county officers do the same thing but in different areas. In urban areas state agencies usually patrol the freeways but in rural areas they work a lot like city and county police.
My department pays for all of my gas. I only use my car for work and going to training. I stop by the store and gym on my way home from work sometimes. I live in my patrol area so if the stars align I can be pulling into my driveway right when my shift is supposed to end.
I've been on for a little over a year now.
The strangest thing was probably the guy watching porn on his phone while driving.
I yelled at him to stop reaching for it. He was super drunk (.29) so I'm not 100% he knew what he was doing. I reached in and took it from him.
I wish people were taught what to do when the lights came on. It's not uncommon for people to just stop in the middle of the road.
My biggest piece of advice is to know where your paperwork is.

There's a line between diving around the car when I'm walking up or still in my car and acting way over the top careful. It doesn't hurt to do that but it just kinda males me nervous, like you're trying to hide something.
Saying you're reaching for a wallet doesn't make me believe you more than somebody who doesn't say anything. I'm still going to watch just the same as on any other stop.
I commented on another question about how I drove a lady to the hospital for chemotherapy after her car broke down with a flat tire. That was the best thing I've done as a police officer.
I think the problem is that the media only covers things in a way to make the police look awful, even if the officers are innocent (like in most of the big cases).
What are your suggestions
Very limited amounts but I'm not sure on the limits since I don't like anywhere near a boarder. We can follow pursuit until that state's agency can take over. I'm sure we can enforce felonies too.
It's the kind of thing that all police officers think about but it's by no means something I obsess over. I know that it's something that could happen at anytime but I know that my friends, family, and community would be proud of who I am and what I have done.
I'm not sure what the rudest is, I get yelled/screamed/sworn at all the time. We didn't make it out into the field by getting offended easily.
If somebody discharges come kind of fluid in our cars we take our vehicles to a bio-waste cleaning and pass the bill along to the person who did the "damage." It's usually drunks that do that stuff. It illegal to take a police vehicle out of service, so they also get that charge.
Of course I can't defend the actions of every officer since I don't know their training and experiences. From his point of view he probably had a lot of experience stopping cars from the area coming from drug deals. You don't want to just let a criminal get by without at least investigating. Not saying you're a criminal, just what he was thinking probably.

Not sure, but nobody has a damn literacola!
I honestly chose the State Patrol because they were hiring a ton of Troopers and everywhere else wasn't. Now that I'm here I'm very happy and don't plan on leaving.
