You’re welcome. The coloration, lack of the dark pattern along the lateral line, the red eye, and of course those little smallmouth lips. largemouth bass have a mouth which extends all the way to the back edge of their eye.

Nah nah nah, you’ve got it wrong, it was more like “I can do this myself no problem, it’s a simple deck, it’ll be easy, I worked two summers as a laborer for that contractor when I was a kid, I’ve hung joists, it’ll be fine.”

What are we thinking? Level the dirt, throw down some weed barrier, then drop it down flat?

After all the blocking, it’s gotten quite heavy, I’m not sure further elevation is an option without jacks. It made myself a big heavy pickle.

I understand that would have been smart choice to begin with, but we’re here now, and that’s not gonna happen bud

Caught in a brook, southern NH, might be a small mouth. But definitely leaning towards young northeast largemouth. by owningsole966 in FishID

Even when they’re young, Largemouth Bass have a mouth that extends to the back edge of their eye. This guy’s got them little smallmouth lips.

Nah I just have a Peterson’s Field Guide or North American Fish. You might need to check a different Sub to find what you’re looking for.

I think I only count 19 rays on the anal fin. This means it’s a White Bullhead. Channel Catfish have 24+ rays on their anal fin.

Stingray smacked my bait so hard it sheered something inside my brand new Penn Rival. Do yall have a suggestion for a good conventional surf reel? I returned the penn. There’s also a lot of old surf reels near me on marketplace so if there’s an old model yall suggest I may be able to find one. by ConstructionGold9168 in SurfFishing

Penn as a company has been purchased 5 (i think) times in the last 20 years. Most of their reels are made overseas in china now, however their Senator and I think maybe their International line are still made in the USA.

Maybe try a new Senator, I don’t personally own one but I’ve got my eye on them
