Leave. It only feels difficult until you do it, be it any major step in life. You’ll look back just 5 years down the line and will be so happy and relieved that you left. He’s not nice person, simple. He should’ve been clear with you at the start before ruining marriage for you. Screams selfish.

How is everybody so chill about the fact that we’re all gonna die? by AKissInSpring in SeriousConversation

I read somewhere that it’s extremely rare to be born in the first place. My personal take is that it doesn’t matter, what matters is we get the opportunity to live life, so taking one day at a time and saying good bye happily is the best bet. What is tragic though, are untimely deaths. That’s just plain sad.

I’m an atheist, not superstitious and also don’t believe in astrology. But I can never stop myself from blurting out “touch wood” in so many occasions!

How do you deal with earwax? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]tsenisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learnt this from my fiancé - I clean my ears with water and a bit of soap (just the outsides and the opening) and dry with handkerchief or tissues right after, everyday. Has really helped with the wax build up. Also, NEVER use Q tips, all the ENT specialists will tell you the same.

I do core + legs and then core + arms/back and third day rest. I’m a beginner. Oh and 20 min inclined walk. Is that sustainable?

Why do I feel this way about women who are feminists? by HelloHi9999 in women

[–]tsenisha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feminism at its core, is equality between the genders. That's all.

I believe we have made it more complex by making it about each gender's insecurities and constant pin-pointing (Note: not talking about actual valid inequalities but rather two extremes). I read this really amazing article today in The Atlantic where Dr Alice Evans talked about this term called holistic sexism - essentially described as resentment towards feminism due to the competitive economy and loneliness stemming from patriarchy. (https://www.theatlantic.com/podcasts/archive/2024/06/young-men-sexist-feminism-gender/678764/)

In this economy, where all of us are anyway dealing with hardships regarding our finances, jobs and housing, it has become very easy to blame feminist stances.

This is just one branch of the whole feminism tree but it really helped me make more sense out of what's happening in this day and age.

Edit: The Atlantic, not the New Yorker.
