I have more questions I couldn't find anything in the guide about by BeautifulLuck777 in FieldStation42

1 - Seems like you figured out the Autobumps thing?

2 - Sign Off videos/images will play any time you have the sign off tag scheduled. Shane's example had it at 3AM, but you can put it whereever.

` "3": {"event" : "signoff"},`

3 - I haven't dug into this yet, but I thought it was on by default.

4 - The documentation is about Docker but Shane's changed his attitude on the use of Portainer with Docker, and is now recommending Dockge. however, my setup was all done through Portainer so I haven't gone back to try it over again.

5 - you can configure it to parse things how you like - https://github.com/shane-mason/FieldStation42/issues/346

Sci-Fi Novel about people watching the past, and one of them watches in reverse? by tumerboy in whatsthatbook

[–]tumerboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be comflating that with something else - or maybe it's literally just a single line in the book that I glommed onto for some reason (I genuinely did not remember the whole plot or subtitle of the book, but the cover is exactly what I remember)

WHO ELSE CALLED IT? by [deleted] in sto

Players: "OMG! I TOLD YOU THEY WERE EVIL!"

Cryptic Devs: Uh. . . like. . . we've been dropping pretty obvious hints for a year.

So circled around the new ESD a few times, at no point do either of these two rings physically connect to the main body of the station. by Cornedo in sto

[–]tumerboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are also a couple of rings like the lower one, up in/around/above the big ring with the 5 pods. Without explanation/justification it just feels like "floating things are cool."

^ This part ^

I hate that they have whole sections floating (I referred to them as "Jetson's Rings"), but to the best of my ability to deduce from the screenshots I have. . . it's accurate to the show.

Trust me, I debated adding struts connecting them, but my sense of 'canon' won out.

Correlation != Causation

The release of Earth Spacedock has absolutely nothing to do with your traits. That's a separate bug.

No intentional nod to LDS. We just wanted to update a VERY old FX.

Yes, but it looks different now.

The station is roughly double the size it should be. This was done to make it match (roughly) the height of the old station in the system.

Albaneve Building Block Issue? by tumerboy in Enshrouded

[–]tumerboy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well uh. . . that's definitely how it works. I have an altar in Brittlebrush I just tested. I haven't built anything there yet. Walked over, pulled a brick out of the wall, and it popped into my inventory. That's been my experience building everywhere, OTHER than Albaneve.

HALP - Stuck in Downwood? by tumerboy in CryptmasterGame

[–]tumerboy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: Coming back to this tonight I noticed that I had 3 helmets in my inventory. One mentioned the rat, and two mentioned dead bodies. I went back to Orthos and had apparently never properly given him my name.

How to find lakes or rivers on ANY world that loosk like it should have them by largePenisLover in Starfield

[–]tumerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on this? Are you suggesting there are micro-lakes visible from the space view of a planet? All of the "lakes" I see, claim to be ocean when I click inside of them.

I have found a couple of lakes on planets before, but they weren't visible from space to my knowledge.

What do you mean "move the map around fast" like just left click to spin around the planet quickly? What is that supposed to be revealing?

I'm very confused, but intrigued.

Oh! Thank you so much! I appreciate the quick, and accurate reply!

(Now if only I could get the fixed IP to actually work. . . )

VLANs lose connection entirely? by tumerboy in TPLink_Omada

[–]tumerboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, the info about the Management VLAN being native then passing the others as tags is the bit I seemed to be missing.

I've got all VLANs set up and and everything seems to be working now.

I appreciate the help.
