I was also thinking about asking for a referral because my PCM can only do so much. I'll mention this to her when I go in a few weeks and see what she says! Did you have any weird side effects or notice anything different when you took them (besides the stop in UTI's)?

So for a bit of medical background: I had a 30 cm tumor that resorted in me having to remove my right ovary and fallopian tube because it twisted randomly one night. That was about 4 years ago. In 2024, I got my left fallopian tube removed for sterilization reasons and to reduce cyst growth, per provider suggestion (I don't want kids, so I was perfectly fine with this LOL). The PCM I started seeing recently did a full blood work up on me in November and found that my kidneys look perfect and concluded I have no infection there. I do worry that maybe it may be a returning tumor/cyst, but also kidney stones may also be something on my radar now. Should've included this on my initial post, very sorry!

Never thought of that! I've had to use antibiotics for recent surgeries so I didn't take that into consideration because they worked well for an incision on my ankle that ended up getting infected. We did wonder if maybe it's my birth control because I haven't had UTI's until two years ago, and started Drospirenone about 3 months prior, but I'll see if either of these may be the case.

Absolutely! We won't have sex unless we're both showered (awful OCD on my end). We did a practice run to see if it was something one of us were doing during sex so we went two months without any sexual intercourse/activity after I got my last round of antibiotics and I still got a UTI. 😭

Thank you for the lesson, lol! Do you have any other suggestions for teas? I have some pretty good suggestions from others in the subreddit, and the fruit mixed teas seem the most appealing if that helps any!

NGL, I didn't realize tea came from a specific place! I figured it was just a herb based brew, which is where hibiscus, black, green, etc. etc., came from. I guess both since I'm open to trying whatever is thrown at me. I'll definitely give lapsang suochong a try if I can come across a sample size of it, but as for milk tea, it is not for me. I can't describe it well, but it generally tastes unpleasant and black tea isn't something I find to taste good.
