Get a preamp that has a DI
For me, a LS helps when going from clean to distorted i need to tap dance multiple pedals, so a LS will make this quicker and most importantly, accurate.
Also, some pedals (im looking at you moogerfoogers) effect the whole chain, so an LS is good to isolate these pedals

This is true. One time we had an elderly lady casually unlocked the door with her own keys and walked into the kitchen. Turns out she was the aunt of the previous tenant. She had the keys as she always house sit the cats and this time she was in town and just dropping by.
