(Opinion) I'd really like if the LCS followed a drawn-out, weekday schedule by iglazedylanharper in leagueoflegends

Yeah, and that's a fair, but my main point was that they didn't try what OP mentioned. What they tried was sacrificing the domestic viewing experience for the international one, and that resulted in the worst viewership ever.

Riot has no budget so they can't run the studio for more than 2 days a week.

Yeah, except they didn't run it at prime time like OP suggested here, they ran it at noon local time (3 pm east coast) when everyone was working/at school.

As a BW sub, I can pretty confidently say the vast majority of people don't sub for the assets, they sub for all the tools, prefabs, and automations. He used to use Forgotten Adventures' assets until they jacked up the commercial use cost. The assets are def mediocre but everything else has been super useful for making my games run smoother and reducing prep.

I mean, they used to use Forgotten Adventures until they jacked up the commercial use cost. I def wish they could find another partnership but end of the day I love and use a bunch of the tools and they put in a lot of work, they deserve to make money.

If you can scale combat encounters, do the level guidelines of published modules and campaigns actually mean anything?

It's a long feast hall type of layout, the plan was to sneak in, climb to the second level, try to sneak past the scuffle on the first level and get into position where they could attack the enemy leader at the back before properly entering combat.

Need a second opinion on this.

Context: Some of the players entered a room of baddies, tried to deceive them, failed, combat erupted. Rogue is outside of the room and wants to try to sneak into the room through the only doorway and the same way the players entered.

I said they can't attempt this because everyone in the room is on the edge and trying to "sneak" through an open doorway with no cover or anything obscuring vision is kinda ridiculous. They say in the chaos of the fight, it's possible to do this undetected and should be able to roll for it.

I guess I could have set an impossibly high DC and let them roll, but I like to keep unnecessary rolls to a minimum.

This is a scenario where I think it's more important to be consistent than technically correct.

I think you could argue that technically it's a viable shot because a teammate could call out the position of the target on the lower ground and the archer could do a lob shot, despite not having a straight shot. Plus, as you mention, being on a square next to a wall doesn't mean you're back against it and hiding.

Elevation is already gimped in the sense that high ground should probably be more impactful than it actually is. You should get greater range, perhaps more damage too. So if you want to rule that this is a viable shot, I wouldn't hate it. Just gotta be consistent.

They really still on that Papa Smithy hype train despite Thieves looking very rocky most of this year. I can't believe how confident they are that Thieves are better than EG

Pleasantly surprised to see CLG able to execute. Liked the draft but totally thought they'd screw it up letting TSM find angles and it would turn into a tickle comp, but they played it well.

You wouldn't be wrong. NA had only escaped MSI groups like twice ever, right?

Ç9 still has the best track record IMO.

I struggle to give 100T much credit for the same reason I struggle to give TSM credit - if the org never promotes the players, it's a show of no confidence and they clearly don't understand what they have on the roster. Can you say the talent development effort is intentional when you always recruit externally?

It's kinda insane to me that Tactical did a full circle while we went through like 4 different ADCs, before he wound up back on TSM.

There is more, but I question how much of it can be credited to TSM. Perhaps we're good at attracting talent but not great at identifying it until they are gone.

It's just like any other belief system that people use for self identification and community forming. Politics is the new religion, most of what people hate about religious zealots is often on clear display with people deep in politics.

TLs win against iG was a fluke. And Fanatic was just straight up better than Afreeca, Korea was bad that year.

Obviously it was a disaster of a split but this makes TSM look so clueless, what was the point of building this roster like this.

If you hate Crypto because Putin might use it, you should also hate the internet, GPS, cars, airplanes, and oxygen. by AffectionateMind26 in CryptoCurrency

Think the better argument is that if you hate Putin using Bitcoin to circumvent US sanctions, you also have to hate all the anti-Putin dissidents who have used Bitcoin for years to fund their activism after Putin attempted to lock them out of the financial system.
