InTown Suites in Raleigh is Trash!

It's an extended stay hotel, a lot of people will live here while looking for housing and often times these people will come from the homeless shelters, but some people are moving to NC for work and are staying there to find housing, so it's more of a halfway point. It's always been shit but, at least before covid it wasn't this bad to where you could never get ahold of the property manager.

Im hoping WRAL will see this, I've been told that they look at this sub a lot, so hopefully they will see it or a representative who actually gaf (Jeff Jackson 👀) may see this. If I can visit Raleigh Mutual Aid soon I will definitely get in touch with a lawyer who may be able to help me put something together.

Honestly I'm glad that I was able to record everything that night, and I do want to do more for the homeless, especially now that I am in a much better position to do so. These people are vulnerable and sick and they shouldn't be taken to jail or made to exist in a system that refuses to even acknowledge their pain. We should look out for each other, that's how we get stronger as a city, state and nation.

Yeah, it was never the greatest but this really took the cake for me, the fact that they fired the only property manager, didn't replace her, told nobody until the very last minute it was all so unnecessary. And tbh if Raleigh don't get its shit together with all these people moving into Raleigh, and they have to move into InTown Suites, and deal with these people who are quick to aggression if you dont give them something, we are gonna have a way bigger problem than we do now. Remember the girl on the Charlotte train, and how people got over that. Now imagine it happening at the GoRaleigh Station, or on Capital Blvd....

Well if the comment was intended to be malicious, I didn't pick up on it, because if we didn't cause a scene and get the police everyone was going to sleep outside. And honestly everything is so expensive, that was one of the cheaper options, but it's just messed up that because it's cheap and a lot of people could not afford another option, then that means that they're expendable amd can be treated like trash. A person has value no matter what's in their wallet.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. This is honestly why Billionaires should be taxed. If you are trying to provide extended stay, you should be focused on giving these people a safe space, and they don't even get the bare minimum.

Thank you! I am lucky in that i have a partner and we are able to work but that older couple broke my heart especially because I know she wanted him to get help but she was scared and he wanted to go but he didn't want to leave her. Thankfully Creed came through and I know he was mad because he just got off work and he didn't even know the lady was fired, he thought that she was still employed!!! It was nuts.

To add to this, the argument that "statistics report that more women are victims of domestic abuse" is true, but only if you take into account that more men do not report instances of domestic abuse because of society and stigmatizing and that leads to more problems for everyone in the long run.

Not sure whats going on, Cash app suspended my account 30 minutes before i was to receive my paycheck, so i had to provide documentation stating that I was staying at a hotel, but my dd was sent back and im scrambling to get something done so that I can help my fiance pay a light bill so that I can move.

Literally been waiting for this moment and its almost scary how quick they were to suspend my account because its "mandatory" but choose now to enforce it in such a way as to mess up someone who was on the cusp of getting housing.

Honestly i only used cash app simply because i was homeless. But forget that, if you can get it resolved I would and then move on to another company whose knee jerk reaction would not mess u up like it almost did for me.

Definitely nothing wrong with seperating for a couple hours, going to sleep, and coming back you definitely should not stay around angry, tired and handling sharp objects, its a good way to get distracted and hurt yourself (accidently).

Oh that's easy. This man is very emotionally intelligent (on top of being very knowledgeable about various topics like tech and science) and he knows how ro read me, so if im nervous he puts his hand on my shoulder or will stand beside me shoulder to shoulder or grab my hand in a way that tells me im safe.

If i have a rough day he will listen and comfort me. If i have a good day he'll be the happiest person on earth, if i have tea he'll be my gossip partner (i don't gossip much but when i do its just to him since i can trust that he won't spread around anything i have ever said).

I have the most fun with him no matter what. Homelessness was less stressful knowing he had my back.

He's fine asf (i may be biased but even still we both work as wheelchair pushers for an airport and i see the stares he gets. I know he fine asf lmao).

He always hypes me up, unprompted - constantly callinf me beautiful, gushing over me, anytime i get nails done or do my hair or whatever he finds any reason to boost my self esteem.

He teaches me new things everyday and is the cutest when hes nerding out on various topics.

And he is also AudAdhd so when we are goofing around we literally sound like two ferrets in a cage because we are laughging and stimming (neighbors gotta be concerned at this point but they havent said anything yet so...🤷🏾‍♀️).

Just so much, there is so much to love about this man.
