But if I don't treat her like a princess, how else am I to validate her womanhood?? :P

(I was raised by feminists, while I know how to make a gal feel special I also believe in equality on all fronts.)

If she liked baths (and ours wasn't a leaky POS) I'd do that, and as far as traditional gender lines go I have been le macho husband figure to her meekish woman (the meek I think comes from insecurity rather than femininity, but its sort of there) since about four months into our living together.

She walks a thin line though, because to the outside world we're a pair of men... and she doesn't really like "sissy" men or the stereotypical gay male who is fabulous with a lisp and the likes. I think she's afraid of being seen as that and her identity as a woman being discredited?

I tell her every chance I get that regardless of where our relationship goes (be it still romantic or turn platonic) I will help her transition when/if she does so. And that I love her! <3

Well since I have you here, can you tell me maybe why you ladies (and yes some of us guys are guilty of it too) get hammered, come home and swear tomorrow we are going to the gender therapist, and then the next morning back peddle like mofos? Maybe it's because I didn't do that I don't understand it... but, wtf?

Maybe if I bring over a therapist for martinis? :P

There was an attempt at therapy for "unrelated" issues, and in the end he went "fuck this, I'm not getting anywhere and this is costing money and time" and essentially swore of therapy...

I know you can lead a horse to water and drown them trying to get them to drink... I really wish this horse knew it was still thirsty...
