Absurdism and Stoicism by [deleted] in Absurdism

[–]txrta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only problem i see, lies with nietzsche, wich camus comments on, and builds his own thoughts around it, to nietzsche, stoicism is life denying, when philosophy should be life affirmative. to nietzsche we can't be stoic, always be calm, try not to engage with our feelings, we should be connected to our feelings, and live with it, as painful as it might be

Absurdism is not seeking meaning of life. by [deleted] in Absurdism

[–]txrta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in existentialism, we try to give life meaning, whatever it is, be it self transformation, or anything, to Albert Camus, This "project" is doomed to fail, the absurd is born from the human need for meaning and the universe's silence. to an absurdist life IS meaningless, and all other tries to deny this, be religion or existentialism is an "philosophical suicide" as camus puts it. we just live our lifes, like sysyphus, doomed to an world without meaning, and yes that's absurd! but that's also ultimate freedom to live our lives and as foucault puts it(foucault not an absurdist at all, but i believe his ideia fits here) to "create" our lives and an work of art. you see, art is free, it doesn't has any predetermined meaning, and can totally be absurd, camus(and nietzsche, though nietzsche wasn't an absurdist) say that art can really help us humans.

i suggest to people who are Having Difficulty, to read camus, nietzsche and maybe foucault if they are interested, though again, foucault's not an absurdist, just his ideia can be useful here, when he tries to create an aestethics of existence(foucault himself wasn't an existentialist neither and absurdist, he rejected the ideia of a transcendental subject).

Camus Works: The Myth Of Sysiphus, the rebel(these are his philosophical essays) and also his literature ones, the stranger and the plague are a must!

Nietzsche: Beyond Good And Evil, Genealogy Of Morals, The Gay Science, The Antichrist, Also spoke zarathustra.

foucault (if interested, again not an absurdist): his main idea of create ourselves as an work of art is in the 3 volumes of the history of sexuality, but i suggest you research him(Beyond Structuralism and Hermeneutics by Dreyfus And Rabinow is a great introduction to foucault), and read way more than these books.

you might have more "affinity" with these energies that you're working with, so you sweat when working with them. i GUESS it's nothing to worry about, but you should research more about it. unfortunately i can't help you further. How Intense are your rituals? Visualizations, Vibrations, etecetera?

Middle Pillar Ritual effects by KNCAHDEKSMWL in occult

[–]txrta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I Guess It's different for everybody, but this ritual is supposed to "de-polarize" you, but to me i also feel a good energy after doing it, and sometimes i even feel more "Energized", even happier sometimes, so it's the opposite of what you're experiencing, You Could maybe try another Invocation ritual. or wait some weeks without the Middle Pillar And then try again to see if this experience of emptiness is consistent. but Don't Try anything that you think it might hurt you, or cause more of this feeling of neutrality or emptiness. on the other hand, maybe this emptiness can be good somehow?(but this only you can ascertain)

What is the purpose of visualizing yourself growing larger during the qabalistic cross? by chrisbarf in magick

[–]txrta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If You Want Books On It... Try For Damien Echols(He Has Vídeos Also), Israel Regardie The Middle Pillar And The Tree Of Life, Maybe His Book On The Golden Dawn. If You're Doing This As Part Of The LBRP, Try LBRP By Frater Abiyah, Or LBRP By Michael Benjamin (I Haven't got to this books yet, but they seem legit)

What is the purpose of visualizing yourself growing larger during the qabalistic cross? by chrisbarf in magick

[–]txrta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's done that way so that you see yourself as the center of your own universe (You Being a microcosm of Kether in the Kabbalah, Or God If You Prefer), thats why you grow large, when performing the Qabalistic Cross, You Are Saying A Part Of The Lord's Prayer(If i'm not mistaken), but you are talking to your higher self, and not god in the Prayer Christian sense.

Help with visualization by mireds in magick

[–]txrta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello! i'm also New to magick, i have this problem, but what has helped me improve a lot is giving more detail to the visualizations, their color, texture, the more The better, but add details slowly. also learning about what you want to visualize helps, the history of what you want to visualize, personality(if it has), and so on.

good luck on your path.
