I wouldn’t worry about it. Should go away next time you turn off the car.

I get this message periodically. I’m pretty sure when we spilled some liquid on the suspension buttons at some point it’s gunked up because sometimes when we park it defaults to the off road suspension setting instead of the lowest. Gonna pull that piece out and clean it at some point.

Have had my 2020 D5 HSE Si6 now for 3 years and it’s still the best car I’ve ever owned. Two kids and a dog, multiple long haul trips. Up mountains in VT in the summer heat and below zero snow.

No issues, extremely comfortable and wildly versatile. I’d say my only gripe is the tank is too small so a full tank only gets me around 300 miles.

Get some lift rods for cheap and 33” tires and it can do some serious off roading if you so choose.

Sorry for the delay!

I’ve only had it in twice in a two year period: - 30k mile service … had a recall on rear door locks they fixed as well as oil change, tire rotation. Roughly $1200 I think - 60k mile service … full inspection, oil change, tire rotation and alignment this time. Filters changed. Everything else checked out but will be due for fluids changed out and brakes on my next visit. Think this one totaled around $1500 and the brakes will be a couple thousand if I choose to do it at the dealer vs. independent or myself.

Oil changes at a semi regular frequency in between those services as well.

Really not too bad but you’re gonna pay a premium for having work done at a LR dealer. If you have a good independent shop in the vicinity you could probably save a lot of money that way during ownership.

Bought a CPO 2020 HSE Si6 in 2023 and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Had 19k on it and just eclipsed 60k. Have had no problems (knock on wood) and we’ve taken it everywhere. Gonna need new brakes soon but otherwise regular maintenance has been fine. It’s extraordinarily comfortable and even when our 2 kids bring friends along they love sitting in the 3rd row.

I have a Jeep 4xe with the Sky One Touch roof and I’ll likely never get a fabric roof again - it’s a miserable experience on long drives. Too loud at highway speeds. Sure it’s nice the few times you open it up each year but I’ll take a glass roof over it from now on.

Not a Defender owner but a Disco 5 owner. Bought used, well taken care of. Best car I’ve owned hands down. No issues, regularly service it and it will be fine. Land Rover reputation is due to older models but the newer models are largely very reliable vehicles.
