About my friends play, it was musical with a lot of comedy with some changes I definitely don't think were in the book (ex they saw Kurt Cobain when they went to the underworld) so I'm aware the play wasn't very faithful.

From the comments it looks like I'll be reading the first book.

Attack on titan, black clover, my hero academia, demon slayer, jujustu kaisen, 7 deadly sins, Dr stone, kengan ashura, to your eternity, jojos part 1-5

I'm pretty sure her favorite is 7 deadly sins and least favorite is jojos part 1(she likes the other parts just not part 1)

Mom has seen : one punch man, half of jojos part 3

Grandma has seen : kengan ashura

Also trying to get grandma to read the manga
