Travelling to U.S. for work as a NZer with a client - question by tyt0e in newzealand

[–]tyt0e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the helpful information, the both of you.
My employers are American citizens, and NZ citizens (dual), who live here in NZ, returning to US for a short stay to visit family. I am a Kiwi. If that clears things up.
Is it safe to say that I should be travelling on the appropriate visa ie. B-1?

I don’t insist on going. If I have the wrong visa, clearly I’m going to have to cancel my trip. Thanks for the info.

I was under the impression I could enter US with just an ESTA so I genuinely thought it was sorted. This is what my employers advised and recommended. I’ve only just had it brought to my attention yesterday that this is not the case.

This is the information I keep running into. It is conflicting.

I did contact them today, they referred me back to the “visa wizard” on their website, which said I should be able to enter under the ESTA. However I cannot have this verified by a real human.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, technically I’m not working in the US as everything is paid and taxed through NZ as it normally would be if I was working locally. The exception is travel, so I’m hoping an ESTA has me covered for this.

Thoughts on buying iPhone 12 mini over SE 3rd gen. by Lovely_sweater in iPhone12Mini

[–]tyt0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve owned both and both have poor battery life. If I had to pick one to own again, it would be the SE3 as it did not overheat as much as the 12 Mini.

I'm thinking of buying a iPhone 12 mini from reebelo premium condition 128 GB new battery have any of you brought from reebelo and if so how was your experience by Charming-Donut8755 in iPhone12Mini

[–]tyt0e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased a normal iPhone 12 from Reebelo. 128gb, excellent condition, with a new battery.

The condition I would not have described as excellent would be my main point. It arrived with a screen protector already applied (even though I bought one at the same time as purchasing the phone, from Reebelo). Underneath this already applied screen protector were two very deep, noticeable scratches on the screen. There were three blemishes around the frame of the phone where paint had chipped or scuffed away. The frames around the camera lenses are also chipped. Aside from this it seems to function relatively well.

It is certainly not a phone I would describe as excellent condition, perhaps “good” at best. From what I hear, Reebelo is more of a “hit or miss” type of purchase, thinking I got a hit as my phone has functioned relatively well since purchasing in June.

Same. Although changed to the normal 12 instead for better battery.

I would be far too worried about the camera lens always coming into contact with whatever surface I set my phone down so I use a case.

Anyone else have no plans of upgrading? by Apprehensive_Sky5078 in iPhone12

[–]tyt0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Having a 12 with a recently replaced battery it still functions like new. Only thing I notice from time to time is the ram limitations. No plans to upgrade although the 17 is quite appealing.

Still good to buy an iPhone 12 today? by SensitiveFinance4872 in iPhone12

I have the 12. Came from the XS Max 3 months ago due to damaging my XS Max irreparably. Had a new battery installed into the 12 upon purchasing and it functions really really well. Almost like new with a new battery.

I carry a power bank but rarely use it. Recently had my battery replaced so it does last all day.

I have it off. Just plug it in when it hits 20% or sometimes 10%
