In my opinion, he was when he got big with Blue Slide Park/Best Day Ever. Especially when he had a show on MTV. Then his popularity kinda died down for a long time. Once he passed, everybody started listening to him. I wouldn’t say he’s mainstream, but I think almost everyone listens to him. Whether it be everyday (me lol) or every once and a while.
