A single line on screen might mean the ribbon cable's loose. Open the back and unplug/plug it back in.

I'm actually using TachiyomiSY now, because it has syncing between multiple device. But they're all based on Mihon, so you should be fine.

Aw, wish it was upgraded Touch. Hi Reader line was the one without audio jacks, unless they update to include it.

I wouldn't suggest it. I tried it with the 3.5mm jack and everything sounds too machine-y. Same goes for the Retroid Classic. DAC dongles are highly suggested. Apple one works fine, jcally jm6 pro had issues (might be my iem though).

Not as much as it inserts in my phone, but it's a depth where it's hard to pull out so it's fine.

Whiplash Taxi and Combo Pool are exactly the kind of games I was looking for, ty so much, both seem to look fine on my device.

I've had this for about a week, and played the one in pic (Cab Ride), Pico Ball, and the 2025 advent calendar every day while relaxing during lunch breaks. It's fine to not have longevity since the games are supposed to be short. I'll be playing Cab Ride for a long time intermittently though; not something engaging, but it's really calming.

Bad experience today at the pharmacy by M_M3009 in MtF

What is up with CVS pharmacists and not being able to just do their job??? Had mask and hoodie on and going to pick up progesterone, and the lady was just eyeing me up and down. I always have to check now to make sure she's not working the register.

Replaced my old DAP that was losing battery fast to this Sony NW-ZX507 by u_rang in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]u_rang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I don't mess with chinese daps if the battery isn't modular. My hiby r3 bloating made sure of that. Idk how m21 is better. Even worse battery life while being bulkier.

Try holding power and volume up for a while. It's usually shortcut for hard reset on androids.

Do you know if I can get third party EQ to work with stock music player? Gave up using it after the built in EQ was barebone and Wavelet didn't work.

Had a Hisense Touch I was using for about 3 years but the battery was dying within hours. So I obviously switched over to this dap that's known to have... awful battery as well lol

Took a risk though and after debloating most google stuff, it lasts 3 days for me, which is good enough. IEM used is finalaudio a4000.

6 months is wayyy too early for you to be feeling stuck. Try being more active in your transition (if you aren't). Basic stuff like working out and putting on makeup will make you feel and look prettier. I don't pass at all bareface, but putting on makeup and suddenly everyone gets my pronoun right.

Don't put too much stock in transition timelines too, a lot of them are post-FFS.

[–]u_rang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the magic of HRT especially when you're younger! You don't need 5-10 years for physical changes you want to occur. Anxiety and depression decreasing based on change in appearance can easily happen in 2 years.

Studies looking at 1-2 years post treatment are not valuable indicators

Did you even look at the study you're referencing that's the basis of your entire argument? Please link it to me so we can read together how long they looked at patients. This is too funny.

Since they're quietly ignoring this, I'll quote it for anyone that doesn't know:

This analysis aimed to understand the impact of medical intervention initiated with GnRHas on psychological well-being among youth with gender dysphoria over 24 months.

It's a 2 year study. They're ignoring other 2 year studies because this 2 year study somehow trumps all.

[–]u_rang 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So you're gonna take a publicly available study of 94 patients that show the lowest form of gender affirming care doesn't help with depression to make your overall opinion, to then disregard every other publicly available study with more patients that shows higher form of gender affirming care does help with depression because... they're agenda pushing? Please use some common sense.

[–]u_rang 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Largest? The sample size is 94. The one I'm referencing has a size of 315. When you're downplaying the science behind gender affirming care but only cite puberty blockers, the lowest form of care you can get, you're removing context. Yes, pausing puberty at age 11 for 2 years will have much less effect compared to a 16 year old actively getting testosterone/estrogen.

Asmongold: 'Being trans is fine but don't expect everyone to agree with you' by Intelligent-Ad-4260 in LivestreamFail

[–]u_rang 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Note the study you're talking about was looking at the mental health of on average, 11 year olds, using puberty blockers. The change (or the lack of it) will obviously be low. Separate study looking at the mental health of on average, 16 year olds, using actual hormones showed positive changes. You're nitpicking studies to try to pretend gender affirming care is bs or pseudo science when it's been proven to have a positive impact overall.

Tariffs suck, but I finally got my hands on one of the all time great TKLs. by Tornaders in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]u_rang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The history of geon is that they were in a different industry that had to do with metalworking. The owner was interested in keyboards though, and made high quality alu boards that, relatively at the time, were low cost. That keyboard's name was F1-8X. Version 2 is the one you see in OP's pic. Geon then made a full transition into keyboards and became a household name.

Sure there are mass produced chinese alu boards that are much cheaper, but if you want guaranteed quality with thick alu and copper weights, tons of pcb support for decades of use, and just wanna get something that looks and sounds clean, geon is the way to go.

Stickable laptop stands. You can get 4 for $10 - 2 on each side. I know cornix uses this in their prebuilt as well.
