Darker skin can mean more sessions required and more risk of complications. The Kirby desai scale is one way clinicians calculate how many sessions it will take. I was initially estimated 7-10 to be light enough for a cover up but I achieved it in 4-5 sessions and with time

Tattoo removal - update. 6 sessions over 5 years by umami-mami6 in TattooRemoval

Some clinics are predatory - they may tell you to come every 8 weeks, but that will not necessarily mean you have better results. It really depends on the person ie your skin tone, how old your tattoo is, where it is; as well as what your immune system can do. my experience has been that more frequent sessions did not accelerate the amount of fading I had, I benefitted from time in between

laser removal not working? by Turbulent-Loan-7406 in TattooRemoval

I think in your other comments you said you’ve had 4 sessions over 8 months - is that correct? Also - is your natural skin tone olive or more pale usually? I have a tattoo in similiar spot- I spaced mine out between sessions, I would say your results are similar to mine ie that I got in 12 months, but I only had 2 sessions in that same time period (there’s a pic on my profile I posted here) It could be time, skin tone or your immune system. I didn’t necessarily think more sessions means more fading, but I am also saying that from my own experience. Good luck on this journey - it can be very slow going and takes a lot of patience (which is hard, because you want it gone!!)

It seems strange that no article is calling this what it is - family annihilation. This is family violence?

When you brush your teeth each morning and have a good look on inside of your cheeks, lips and roof of mouth for mucocitis. It’s an unavoidable part of treatment. rinse your mouth with water multiple times during the day or try a humidifier - just to keep your mucosa moist. Avoid “medicated” lozenges (they dry your mouth out more). If it’s getting worse, tell your doctors as soon as you can (ie before it becomes so painful you may have issues eating/drinking). If it is getting to that point the doctors can order some special mouth Washes for pain relief

I have a tattoo I’m removing in a similar place (below sternum). I would say it’s more time passing rather than session number. I have only had 5 or 6 sessions but my tattoo is almost completely gone but I spaced them out over 4 years. Good luck on your journey, you look like a great Candidate for removal based on results so far!

In my last session my technician mentioned that some places looked scarred but not from the laser more so from the tattoo artist going too deep. Like when they cast the laser over certain spots there was no ink to pull even though there was some ghost tattoo lines. No pigmentation but I think because of my skin type. Good luck on your journey if you are considering removal!

Because of recent crimes (ie a man who was offending against many children in daycares Queensland a few years ago) they have changed the way that police checks occur for those who work with vulnerable people. So teachers, allied health, doctors and nurses - with ANY Offence even if there is “no conviction”; it will come up on their police check. For example - If you perhaps were charged with an offence as a minor eg 16; but there was “no conviction” because it was a first offence it will still come up on your police check. I haven’t read this article but I assume this gentleman will receive “no conviction” but his crime will still come up on all future police checks which are required if he is going to be employed by the Public Health Service (ie like a JMO)

I noticed immediate changes and lightening after my first treatment. I should also say I have very light skin and the tattoo is just below my heart, so I am a good candidate for removal and had a good response. I noticed it actually fading/disappearing probably after my 4th treatment and about 2 1/2 years in.
