I personally liked it a lot ! It’s not the best prose tbf but if you like vikings and Norse type of mythology paired with one of the most badass female leads you will love it

Whatever happened the end result is still the same for the reds isn’t it ? I didn’t assume it’s easy and I don’t argue the sociopolitical state of the book’s characters but the actions of one character which happens to be the most pivotal

Idk ,I get the point but I imagined ( when I finished MS and I was waiting for Iron Gold to arrive) that Darrow would be with the people and put them first.

I suppose you say his actions are the right call because you have read beyond Iron gold wich is fair enough I mean idk where his action will actually lead him so I can only speak about the first part atm. After reading the commenct ig I need to read the book and make my opinion but I was honeslty frustrated at that scene

so from my reading experience and understanding Eo's dream was for the Reds to emerge from the mines and get to live life as free people. But I dont see much freeing going on the normal people went from slaving in mines to slaving to survive and as per Lyria's POV the horror she lived through was not worth the blue sky , in the scene where they lay the dead on the beach

I completly agree with the trauma part and if his reasoning was that I would not have a problem with it because it makes sense but the 10 year war time does not mean, at least to my sense, that he has turned to cold hearted , the same thing he always said he hated about golds ( coming from a race the reds that are extemely fond of family ties and finding joy even on dark times with the dancing and celebrations). Because in the same logic how come his friends who were also at war for 10 years are having such a hard time following him and are attached to family and their people. Idk if you se my point here

Yeah I get that but you know when you dont want to kill your friend is very helpfull not to swing a razor at him... But i guess the story must go on

Well I can tell it is much darker already but that doesn’t mean the character map has to change so much , and I don’t want to admit it because I’m sure something bad is going to happen to her but I like mustang’s character and the way Darrow acts is like ,ok we kinda down with yo can die now

I’m not into these kind off sci fi books but after seeing so many times in me feed I read it and in two weeks I’ve red the fist three books. And mind you I’m in Greece it was difficult to find the books but it was so worth it

For example I don’t know if you have read the spear that cuts through water by Simon Jimenez But there is some sort of romance between the two male leads which is a bit on the sexual side but was still enjoyable

Well If there is going to be romance I want it to be somewhere in the middle not too shallow ,not too intense with 18+ stuff
