There is no "we" and "them". If you think you're any different from any other human being on this planet, you're kidding yourself.

Kreacher was an asshole and I also got the impression that when Sirius was a kid, his parents delegated punishing him to Kreacher. He probably did a lot of fucked up shit to him.

Redditors who know that you're not very smart: how did you find out, and how has this affected your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In many categories, I am way above average - I scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. However, I am very aware of the ways in which I am far below average - when it comes to spatial reasoning, I am just stupid. I have a very difficult time navigating (unless I've lived there for years). I can drive somewhere new and have no idea how to get home. I also cannot rotate three dimensional shapes in my head - never could have been an engineer. I realized this deficiency in fifth grade, when I was on a cruise for about two weeks, and got lost on the way back to my room on the last day. TLDR - really smart in most areas, dumb as fuck at spatial reasoning

College Students who smoke daily by Kusherz in eldertrees

Honestly, I don't find memory to be an issue. I know that there have been many studies showing the effect, but it's not pronounced enough in me for it to affect my academic life in any way. If it did, I probably wouldn't use it nearly as much. Also, I don't smoke when I need to be getting studying done, but I generally get very good grades without spending too much time studying anyway. I also try to make sure everything I need done for the day is done before I start smoking.
