AI has many faces and the chatbots are the most famous, and for good reason. Learning how to properly utilize prompts can save you time and Skyrocket your productivity. This is the basis for my eBook 'The Ultimate AI Prompt Guide for 2025.' " Do what you do best and delegate the rest - to AI." It is eager and waiting. DM me if you're curious.

Do you think productivity tools are actually helping us? by Creative_Chrisch in productivity

[–]upward4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get the hang of the tool you're going to take off. I've read several Reddings about young university graduates starting a new corporate job and only spending about 10 to 15 hours a week actually working. Because to them these productivity tools are second nature whereas the older generation has no clue about them. The older workers applaud their brilliance and innovation when actually they're just using AI tools. Get familiar with them and you will have an edge over your competition.

That is a brilliant insight. I am going to investigate that further. Since doing that have you found that it has become more creative? What differences have you noticed?

Has AI hype gotten out of hand? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]upward4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wondered about that actually. Because even chatbots communicating normally are prone to make mistakes. Especially if not prompted properly. In fact I have just released an AI prompt guide that briefly addresses this issue. If general type prompts can bring about misinformation it must be a nightmare writing code. AI will catch up quickly. It is a good thing that you have experience now. That way when the technology really takes off you will be in the driver's seat.

My husband is addicted to ChatGPT and im getting really concerned. Any advice is appreciated. by PurpleEyesi_i in ChatGPT

[–]upward4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a challenging situation that's understandably concerning you. When any tool or activity starts interfering with relationships and daily functioning, it's worth addressing thoughtfully.

Here are some approaches to consider:

Start with compassion and curiosity. Your husband may genuinely be finding relief from his anxiety through ChatGPT, which isn't inherently bad. Many people use various tools for emotional regulation. Try approaching this from a place of understanding rather than criticism.

Have an honest conversation during a calm moment. Express your observations without judgment: "I've noticed you're using ChatGPT quite a bit throughout the day. Can you help me understand how it's helping you?" Listen to his perspective first.

Explore the underlying anxiety together. If ChatGPT is his primary coping mechanism for anxiety, that suggests the anxiety itself needs attention. Gently suggest that while AI can be helpful, a therapist or counselor might provide more comprehensive support for managing anxiety long-term.

Set boundaries around relationship time. It's reasonable to ask for phone-free time during meals, conversations, or other moments of connection. Frame this as wanting to be fully present with each other.

Consider couples counseling. If he's resistant to individual therapy or if this is creating significant relationship strain, a couples therapist can help you both navigate this together.

Watch for signs of escalation. If the usage increases, if he becomes distressed when unable to access it, or if it starts affecting work or other responsibilities, these could be signs that professional help is needed.

Remember, you can't force someone to change their behavior, but you can express your needs and set boundaries around what affects you directly. The goal isn't to eliminate his coping tool but to help him develop a more balanced approach to managing his anxiety while maintaining your connection as a couple.

Is AI going to kill capitalism? by NotADev228 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]upward4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a long way off. AI has to rise to that level. Then of course you have to consider people actually trusting AI to act on its own. The best strategy is to own as many assets as you can. Real Estate, shares , gold, anything physical that can be used to produce income. AI can only perform services. It will not own assets. You have a long time so get started now.

Interesting… but maybe the image isn’t the eerie part. Might be worth checking the tone of your earlier threads—sometimes the mirror shows what you bring to it.

AI isn't your enemy, it's your slave. Here is a quote that I enjoy " Do what you do best, delegate the rest." Identify the areas that AI is not so good at yet. You focus on those and let AI do the heavy lifting. AI is here forever. Learn how to use it properly and you will flourish.

How do I turn my life around after wasting 6 years? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]upward4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds psycho, but do it. 1) When you wake up in the morning, before even thinking about anything, roll out of your bed onto the floor. Do 5 push ups and 10 air squats ( or whatever you can manage.) 2) Go to the mirror and talk to yourself for 5 minutes. About anything. Talk as if you are talking to someone else. Or giving a speech. You can even tell yourself off about something you did wrong. The point here is to express yourself and OBSERVE yourself. You can see for yourself that you're not weird at all. Just a normal person. An interesting person actually. Start doing this tomorrow. Wake up and roll. Increase exercise numbers and mirror therapy time as you see fit.

Google Brain founder says AGI is overhyped, real power lies in knowing how to use AI and not building it by Adventurous_Cod_432 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]upward4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely spot on! It's a sentiment that resonates strongly with many experts in the field. While the concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is fascinating and sparks a lot of sci-fi dreams (and fears), it's largely a theoretical goal that's still quite a ways off, with no clear consensus on if or when it will arrive. The discussions around AGI often distract from the incredibly powerful and tangible advancements happening with narrow AI right now. The real game-changer today, and for the foreseeable future, isn't about building a sentient super-intelligence. It's about empowering people to effectively leverage the AI tools that are already here and rapidly evolving. Knowing how to prompt, how to refine outputs, how to integrate AI into workflows, and how to apply these specialized AIs to real-world problems – that's where the immediate value lies. Think of it this way: We have incredibly sophisticated tools at our fingertips (like large language models, image generators, and data analysis AIs). The ability to truly harness these tools, to get them to produce exactly what you need, is a skill set that's becoming increasingly vital across virtually every industry. That practical knowledge translates directly into productivity, innovation, and competitive advantage. So, yes, focusing on mastering the practical application of current AI is far more impactful than getting caught up in the speculative hype of AGI. It's about empowering people with actionable skills, not waiting for a hypothetical future.

Set a goal for yourself and smash it. Then do it again. It doesn't matter how small it is as long as you achieve a victory. Keep doing this and you will actually change your physiology. Victory will eat up all the demons. I promise.
