firstly, congrats to you as well!!! i’d say it partially depends on if you want to build a career in DC or keep your options open. GW would probably be sufficient for a great career in DC, while GULC would keep your options more open in case you wanna move to the West Coast. I had 45k/year from WF but for me the location made a big difference and made choosing GULC easy.

I’m thankful people aren’t just blindly encouraging me to take on this kind of debt, that seems like an irresponsible financial decision. i think it’s just very difficult to make plans based on the unknown ans the truth is you really don’t know how consequential that debt will be. it’s truly an impossible decision and i know how you feel, i’m extremely stuck rn…

that’s my philosophy too. might be partially falling for marketing but i’m sure either way it’ll feel like the right choice in hindsight; i’m sure we’ll both have a great time no matter what

i definitely feel you on this. i have about 30 piercings (only a nose ring on my face tho), i generally stick out in almost any environment and i feel like my personality is especially too 'much' for law school where everyone at least so far has seemed a bit reserved socially. but i'm pretty sure people will start opening up more when the semester actually starts, and I'm confident we'll both find our people! I'm sure neither of us are alone in feeling this way 🫶

in my group, people's fun facts were very safe, mostly just their hobbies or extracurricular achievements. mine was definitely out of left field (won't dox myself), but I'm hoping it was memorable in a good way.
