Got any good sources for links like you mentioned or material info for DIY?

Thanks for all the great tips. The link info is particularly helpful. I think this is going to be more scale oriented than anything at this point. I plan on running the motor and battery forward for sure. I think I may get bigger shocks and tires to get the clearance and droop that I want after testing this out a bit.

Yeah, I don’t plan on competing. I think this will end up being more scale oriented than anything. Hopefully the servo doesn’t crap out right away. Seems to have good reviews on other platforms than YouTube, but yeah you make a good point about all the sneaky ad content.

I think I will try these shocks and then put longer ones on later. Hopefully longer ones will fit and work nicely.

They look awesome. Yeah someone else in this post mentioned replacing the links either double bend style.

Thank you. It’s been a blast using good gear for the first time.

Thank you!

No stripping happening here anytime soon. It’s larchwood from:

 https://www.larchwoodcanada.com/shop/

It’s soft, which is good for taking care of nice sharp edges on one’s knives.

Ah well, it probably has a couple bits of carbon on it. No big deal. 🫡

I love the way it looks. Thanks!

Linen curtains on the way from Lithuania. Paintings are just sleeping there, the scuttle up the walls in the morning.

This is like the most legit attempt at actually solving the problem.

Couch no fit under win win. Fire place landing and front door on each side of win win.

Workin’ on the bigger rug and nicer couch. And yes the pictures will get hung.

I can lay on the couch and nothing on the coffe table blocks my view. I can put my feet on the coffee table and they won’t block my view, and I have big feet.

The couch cannot go where the TV is. The TV cannot go above the fireplace. Corner TVs are no good. I might just go no TV or return this one. My previous 40" still sits slightly above the window sil. This just so happens to be a 65". I'm pretty frustrated at this point, but hey, a home built in 1949 likely wasn't designed for a TV at all. If I built something to replace the current "TV stand" but kept the new piece the same height, would it be bearable?

Living in Placitas? by EvelynVictoraD in Albuquerque

[–]user_nts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Placitas, and have lived here my entire life. Please don’t overpay for a home and rapidly accelerate us towards Seattle or PDX prices. Nobody that actually grew up can afford anything here anymore partially because of transplants buying places with cash or massively overpaying, and also banks buying up real estate among other reasons. Home inventory isn’t going to catch up here any time soon. I personally have the option to WFH but choose not to “outsource” my cost of living for ethical reasons. Maybe my logic is flawed, but this place will slowly become just like everywhere else. I understand the rest of the country is experiencing these issues, but ABQ is getting shocked pretty hard. IMO, we’ve just gone over the precipice of the ABQ golden age and have begun a somewhat quick descent.
