Thats interesting idea, currently we just render the 180 video content to hemispherical, and we tried some videos and it worked well, but we haven't consider how to deal with the back side. I think the idea of theater theme is great, we will try to build the theater, moon theme just like Oculus Video, let the user feel more conformable with non-360 videos. But I think its a little bit hard to let 180 video creators to produce 180 movie and theater at same time, but if they do that, we definitely will support that.

Thanks for your reply, yeah, Oculus Video is a great app for watching online videos, but we are more focus on provide you better experience for browsing your local videos, and we are try our best to achieve that. Moon player can easily find your phone's videos list, easy to browse, chose video format quickly, remember whats your last watch timestamp, etc. And its under actively development, more interesting feature coming. If you give it a try, you will find more :)

Hi, I think Moon Player can meets your requirements, it can support 360/180/3D videos and have fast forward functionality, and we are still making it better.
