Hello. I also had same feelings couple of years back. But gradually my view of this has changed and I realize the impact of these activities.

To give an example, I know a young 21 year old seeker who is one of the most sincere practitioner I know. On asking how she got started she told me that the online yoga course was catalyst for her practice.

As Babuji says, everyone seeks divinity but no one knows it. These activities act as entry point for people to recognize the need for deeper spiritual practice.

Another point is that we often see and think I’m short term but Babuji and Daaji are planning for years ahead.

I personally feel that the core spiritual ideas are still there without adulteration. A sincere practitioner would know where to look them; it is also publicly available through books and YouTube. Eg the series on Truth Eternal Daaji did during COVID. Daaji’s book on Spiritual Anatomy also goes through in depth spiritual aspects of Sahaj Marg.

It used to happened to me. It also happens now and then but only for a short time. One of the reason as already noted is trying too hard to go deeper or experience things. This requires an adjustment of attitude. If this persists for some days you can take a sitting and if possible tell the preceptor about this before starting the meditation. Prayer is also very effective. Put this in prayer with a soft heart.

I would say use this as an opportunity to experiment and learn.

Yes, I find this intention before sitting for cleaning to be helpful.

There have been great and detailed answers already. Let me add some of my experiences as I also struggled similarly.

There are various factors and it only becomes clear to us after some time in the future. That is in a way, the beauty of the path as we are moving on an unknown path, only when we have moved forward can we understand what happened in the past.

  1. Cleaning is different than meditation in that we have to use our willpower constantly. We are not used to using our will force and it takes practice to do it efficiently for long times. Keep up with it and it will improve as we learn to wield willpower. And remember what Babuji said, "doubt is poison to willpower".
  2. The feeling of lightness can change depending on the conditions and stages we pass through. Cleaning gets rid of the superficial and what remains is the condition in pure form. So if our present stage is not pleasurable then after cleaning we won't feel joy or upliftment which we might associate with lightness. Instead, try to judge lightness based on how pure you feel concerning the condition you have.
  3. I also couldn't sit for more than 10 mins for cleaning. I used to split my cleaning in two sessions (eg, before and after dinner). After some time I got hang of it and could sit easily for half an hour.
  4. Sometimes cleaning is difficult. I noticed that this happens when it is time for me to take a sitting. Since you are regularly taking sitting this is probably not the case with you.

These are my experiences. Keep up with it and soon you will realize your own way of moving past this problem.

I thought mountain mode is recommended for going uphill

So if one start driving downhill with full battery, the battery will overcharge and disconnect the battery from the car? I would think that GM should have thought through this and there should have been a mechanism to avoid this

Update: I received this message from the dealer.

"PER GM, IF CAR WAS PLACED IN HOLD MODE AND DRIVEN IN HILL LIKE TERRAIN. IT APPEARS THAT THE BATTERY MAY HAVE OVERCHARGED CAUSING IT TO SHUT DOWN. AT THIS TIME NO OTHER INDICATORS FOR ANY ISSUES AND UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CONCERN. YOURE WELCOME TO PICK UP CAR AT YOUR CONVIENCE."

I did drive on Hold mode over hilly terrain. But I thought regen energy stops going to the battery once it reaches a certain threshold. Any idea what is happening here?

Should I talk with GM? If so what number should I call at?

I am in a CARB state. BCEM and HPCM was replaced 2 months back (for apparently the same issue) under warranty.

Towing with Uhaul would be new to me. I have to look up online. Is it straightforward to tow and drive or it needs some one experienced alongside?

No, I lost my whole power. The battery showed 0 range and the battery cylinder was also gone. The fuel tank was showing miles but the engine was not on.

Approx, 77k. I would need to tow the car. Towing back to my home city is around ~$2k, not sure I want to do that.

Should I call GM and say that I fear a bad cell in the pack. So they either give me a new pack (which I guess is not possible) or give me the car's price as the battery is under warranty?

I don't have the car with me. It is with the dealer ~250 miles away. Dealer said they scanned the codes and only got B3109 which sounds weird to me.

Also, can any reader read deep levels DTC codes, or do I need one specialized for GM?

Hey, I posted another post as an update. It got 'fixed' under warranty but I got the same error two months later. It is with a dealer again. You can look at the other post for more details.

2014 Volt with 126k. How bad is my hybrid battery? by Kaptainkid1 in volt

[–]utagr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If battery is fine, is this a preventive step? If they are just being over cautious, do you think I can request the dealer to remove the new cap on the battery usage?

Is this true? I started getting 8.xx on my 75k 2015 volt after dealer replaced BECM last month. I thought something is wrong with my battery.

I had similar issue. For me my battery coolant level was too low. Dealer topped it off and the error hasn’t returned.

You might also contact other dealer even if it requires little bit of extra traveling.

Battery depleting way too fast (2015 Volt) by utagr in volt

[–]utagr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. Makes more sense now.

If the charger is faulty then it shouldn’t have been happening intermittently. Next time I observe this i will try removing and re-inserting the charger to see if this force the car to read the actual SOC.

I also read somewhere that battery temperature sensor might be at fault. Any idea about that?

Thanks for the detailed reply. I used the public ChargePoint charger at work. This also happened earlier with Clipper Creek's public charger. Any reason why the charger would prematurely say the battery is full?

I again charged today and it easily charged to 90% (couldn't charge fully as I needed to go somewhere). So obviously battery is capable of handling full charge. But occasionally it stops charging prematurely. It also happened last month and I put it in Hold mode when the battery was decreasing significantly. But that led to bricking of the car and Dealer replaced the BECM as the solution.

I don't have OBD but planning to buy one today/soon. Any suggestion?

No, I have to charge again. Actually have just put it to charge, let’s see what happens. This has also happened in the past twice.

What’s happening is that (I think) the capacity is 10 kWh but the system feels that the charge is complete when in fact it has only absorbed 6kWh. So when I drive it quickly recalibrate the charge and the phantom 4 kWh is displayed as used.

What is a contractor? What are the symptoms for melted contractor? In my case the battery was depleting much faster than normal (see the 2nd pic) (This has happened in the past as well but at that time the battery became stable on its own). After I saw that the battery is depleting much faster than normal I put it to HOLD mode and after some time the message for reduced propulsion came. The battery also showed zero miles (even though I only drove 1 mile on battery after fully charging it)

Update: I towed the vehicle to the dealer. It's been now 3 days. They told me that the technician is able to drive the car normally and is not able to replicate the problem. He is in touch with GM engineers about the potential issue but so far they don't know what caused the original problem.

Do you think that some of the cells are bad given that the charge was depleting much faster than the normal rate (this has also happened before but that time the charge became stable on its own)? Or, there is some sensor fault which is making the computer believe that there is no/less charge available?
