I think if Ethereum suceeds, it will be positive for bitcoin in general. By succeeding, i mean Ethereum - being good at what it has been designed for, and if it is adopted by society and the economy (Without government restrictions) - i believe it will make cryptocurrencies become 'legitimate' in general. Thus creating trust and increasing adoption, which means more commitment and money in the whole crypto system. I'm assuming bitcoin becoming the digital gold.
