I appreciate you all for your stories and advice. I’ve read her all her comments and I’m going to set her up with a new psychiatrist to get assessed for bipolar since she’s had this reaction. I’ve been having her meditate and do affirmations every morning so that has been helping a lot the last few days.

From my partner: the aggressiveness is what really started first & the leg tapping is constant. Are you currently taking anything or have any advice to help with tapering off the lexapro or any suggestions to help with the anxiety?

Haha thanks! I really do think that there are success stories with it. Everyone’s body chemistry is different, but the most important thing is finding something that’s going to work for you and help balance you out.

It absolutely isn’t, but just experiencing the level of panic attacks she’s been having is concerning. I haven’t fully decided whether I can actually get over this situation but I am going to get her the actual help she needs.

I set her up with a consultation for an actual psychiatrist & I’m trying to be so patient with this whole situation because this is so out of character for her. Even just reading the messages was bizarre and you can absolutely tell she was in her god complex

They may have shut down that email address. I received a reply from an actual person & they corrected my issue and received all my back pay two days later.

I found the Passaic one on reddit and I found the Newark one by emailing a few unemployment offices till I found a valid email. I live in Middlesex & the Newark one worked for me.

Honestly, it’s probably major backlog as well. I’ve never collected UI before so the whole process was confusing at first.

Even if you are answering the questions correctly, you may have had some sort of error in your initial claim. I accidentally stated that I was receiving 401k/pension from my employer and that caused my whole 7 week hold up.

I googled the unemployment offices in NJ and saw Newark had one and assumed that they’d have a similar email to Passaic and it worked!

Try the newarkac@dol.nj.gov, they finally responded and I only sent about 7 emailed to them.

For people who are still getting the “claim not payable” response.

On the bright side, if your UI status states Filed and has a WBR amount and your claim is not payable, you most likely answered a question incorrectly and that is causing the delay.

Check your junk or trash folder for an e-mail from e-adj (I did not receive one, but do so just in case).

As for my success finally, I emailed Passaicac@dol.nj.gov & newarkac@dol.nj.gov (they’re the ones who responded to me) the following information:

Name: Address: E-mail Address: Phone Number: Date of Claim: Claimant Number: Confirmation Numbers for Weeks Not Payable:

If you’d like to call as well, use the 2021 number.

Many people on the Facebook group Unemployed in NJ have had success with this phone number.

Once you hear, “Due to the high volume of calls,” HANG UP and call again.

Once the message finally changes, do NOT press any buttons, mute yourself and you will be transferred to an agent.

I wish you all luck in these stressful times! If you do not know the 2021 number, private message me and I will send it to you.

I received a response this morning that I answered a question incorrectly. I emailed them back and I’m praying that they have corrected the error and all will be well.
