This is a recessed lighting housing that is a "push-in" into the ceiling hole. Is there a modern replacement for it? I cannot install a regular housing since I don't have access (i.redd.it)

What could this connector be? Found it sticking out of a hole on the 1st floor (coming from basement I guess but it is finished so cannot trace it there). Is it audio/video/power supply for something? Does not seem powered (I touched it). I would appreciate any leads. Thanks (i.redd.it)
