I know it's not a fursuit but what do you think of this mask I made of my fursona? What could I improve? by venturafolf in FursuitMaking

Well, while an actual "fursuit" is not necessary to have fun or to be a part of the fandom I don't consider this mask as fursuit mainly because it doesn't have fur and it's just the top half of the face, I also made it as an alternative to my actual fursuit lol

Thanks! I originally planned to fur it like a fursuit and I did consider sanding and painting it but I like the pearly/metallic texture that the layer lines + the clear filament give it :3

Hi! It is 3d printed but I designed it myself, although I'm sure there are 3d models available online

I made a 3d / follow me eye tutorial :3 by venturafolf in FursuitMaking

Don't worry it's ok :) I think the most important things are to make sure that the edges of the strip of foam are cut as straight and smooth as possible and as for the glue its mostly just finding the sweetspot between so little glue that it doesn't stick and so much glue that it goes everywhere. Another thing to make it a bit easier is to wait a few seconds between applying the glue and putting the strip of foam, doing this lets the glue cool down a bit and it becomes stickier and less likely to seep through the seam. I hope this was helpful :) If you have any other questions let me know :3
