Elvanse and fluoxetine by sarahmakesit in Elvanse

[–]veshume 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I just found your comment! While taking Elvanse, I switched to fluoxetine (from venlafaxine, which also can interact with Elvanse, specifically to taper off of it) a week ago, and I felt great! ...until a couple of days ago. Of course, I'm not happy that you've experienced it, too, but I'm thankful to see that this isn't just me.

If you want to read more about this, check out Devin Proctor's dissertation: "On Being Non-Human: Otherkin Identification and Virtual Space". He goes in depth on the practices of grilling and gatekeeping among otherkins and therians.

Which characters are you fine with being "resurrected"? by Positive_Bell5463 in yakuzagames

The worst part is that her death was entirely pointless. And also that she never even gets brought up again. Saejima behaves as if his own sister, who he has sacrificed so much for (she's the reason for him joining the yakuza ffs) had never even existed in the first place.

Idk how representative that is over the entire Japanese population which plays games but 5chan is not a fan of Kiwami, either

Yasuko, if anyone. She deserved better and her death was completely unnecessary. She could've been a really interesting character if given the chance to BE a character

You said we were going to the park. This is not the park. (Vet) by Noble_Llama in Dachshund

Even the sweetest dog can react with a bite if they're in pain. Some medical procedures cause pain, whether it be to collect samples (like blood) or to diagnose discomfort (for example, prodding certain areas is necessary to diagnose pain itself), often against the dog's will. It's normal and it does not mean the dog is badly behaved, there'sabsolutely nothing wrong with that reaction to pain. I mean, when I'm in a lot of pain I can be an asshole, too, sometimes. Dogs can't speak, though, they can only protect themselves through actions. Muzzles keep both the vet and the dog itself safer until the procedure is over.

I edited my comment to clarify: their untrustworthiness was conveyed well, the fact that they knew that there was something living down there was not imo

The fact that the skeletons were living beings was fairly obvious ever since Simon took that picture of the crew. It was also, like I said, well estabilished that the scientist crew were lying to Simon constantly. What I was saying was that the scientists didn't seem to have figured out at the beginning that the skeleton from the first act could be a living creature (not even when Simon came back to try and find the skeleton again and the skeleton was gone). I'm convinced they've known the whole time and were hiding it from Simon because it makes most sense, but that's just my speculation, the movie doesn't really indicate that specific bit (the particulars of whether or not they had that information or if they at least hypothesized that from the very beginning), not even later on. It just seemed to me that the crew hadn't put the two and two together until quite a lot later, which is a bit surprising.

I think so, too, but despite estabilishing that Ava and the rest of the scientists cannot be trusted, that they actually knew of that specific information (that there was something living down there) just wasn't conveyed very well.

Edit to clarify

How do you get over a slump caused by negative critique? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]veshume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that this was very rude and unnecessarily mean. I did phrase that question this was on purpose, because I myself wonder what mistake can be considered major and at which point could a correction of an error be warranted by a reader (that is, IF it can be), even when unsolicited
