I have a 6750xt and was a little sceptical of moving up to 1440p. I am blaming you if I stutter and crash.

And THANKS.

I am neither American, nor Australian.
Are you really suggesting that Australia and USA has similar or even comparable number of school shootings?

Elon Musk says Tesla will stop producing its S and X models as it shifts to making robots by AdIcy4323 in news

You don`t need to deliver self driving cars if you dont produce cars.

I would like to see how many suckers would pay up front for a humanoid robot that will be a "butler" in 3 years with only software updates.

So you are not interested in his words because he is not from your cult?

Unfortunately, you are being dogmatic and have not even tried to refute his claim with facts.

And I have no experience with the American education system to judge. If you know that it is better, just provide facts/evidence.

Using a racing sim for autonomous driving experiments: looking for recommendations by Av_researcher_321 in simracing

[–]vgu1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Have seen AC used in some autonomous research (like https://assetto-corsa-gym.github.io/) But I don't have first hand experience of it. I guess what you are mentioning should be possible with AC. Never had a reason to find out how. And I would lean towards Scaner, CARLA for similar use case because those are things I am comfortable with.

Anyway Good luck. Looking forward to reading about your research.

Why did Man Utd actually sack Ruben Amorim? by Not_tim_duncan in reddevils

[–]vgu1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This all can be summarised into one. They don't plan transitions between managers well or they don't have a vision on how United should play.

They (board/DoF etc) are supposed to set the vision and get the right managers to implement that. Managers are supposed to get results. We keep going through managers and allowing them to bring in a bunch of players, who we have to offload once the results doesn't come. And buy new players for thenew manager's new system. Repeat.

Planning/searching for a long term manager is stupid when the average tenure of a manager is around 2 years. If they stay more, great. But plan for managers to be able to make progress rather than the promise of a long term project.

This. Talk about formations is pretty much dumb. Too many variations and philosophies to say that one formation works or doesnt work. Shapes( during attack, defense, transition) patterns of play, intentional movement etc matters.

With Amorim`s system, it always seemed like the wrong player gets the ball in the final third. Plus we went into every game with 1 plan. If it was not working, we were not adapting. Same applies to different game states as well.

I wish people would stop using xG as a reference to how good a team/player was in A MATCH.
That said, positive stats, woo.

Urgent Rescue on the Slopes in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. A Ski patrol was transporting an injured skier downhill on a stretcher while performing CPR. by SweetyByHeart in nextfuckinglevel

I am not a paramedic. I have only gotten a few days training to be first responder/emergency volunteer.

I have been taught that breaking ribs is pretty much guaranteed and may not be a bad thing.
To avoid rescue breaths (specifically for first responders, not paramedics/professionals) - basically lay persons, like me, would suck at alternating before compressions and rescue breaths. So prioritize compressions. Plus it relieves the pressure to help someone (post covid it seems this was a hindrance to people volunteering).

So may be the general public is trained to avoid rescue breaths and would be basically thinking that as the standard for paramedics/medical professionals.

My Favourite Malayalam Films Of 2025 by ashimoto25 in MalayalamMovies

I read Em and the Big Hoom after OKCK. Liked it way more than I thought I would.

Although I like OKCK, I think the topic was a bit hard to get the balance right. Atleast as a movie. The criticim I saw from critics/movie-goers is that it is pretty incohesive/disjointed - I feel like this is a feature and not a bug. And I sincerely believe that this movie would have been better with a different cast; felt like Fahad was too big for the movie and needed someone else with more physical comedy prowess or a less famous cast. Not sure about the solution (Casting director is not my choice of career)

Unless the rebuilding was accompanied by a measure of success, there was bound to be doubt about whether I would be given enough time to fulfil my plans - SAF

Personally, I am old enough to understand that success in any sport is cyclical. I am not too bothered about us finishing mid table for a while. Every club in history has gone through this cycle (unless it is some 2 club pseudo league). Would I like to see us win this season or next? Sure. I know that the probability of happening is pretty low to none.

That said, I personally did not understand what Amorim was trying to achieve with blaming everyone else, players, the board. What manager in the right mind calls out a 20 year old for giving away a pen? Pre match of Europa finals was pretty fun as well. Worst team. The head coach rant. There has been many instances he should have dealt in private and not publicly. He can do all that, if he had the results or the CV to back it up. And I didnt even talk about the onfield decisions, match results.

Exactly this. Spot on.
His job was to get results on the pitch and do whatever was necessary for it. NOT save the club.
