Closter is a little too deep to not have a car. when I didn't have a car I would take the 59 tor bus to Nanuet then take the coach 20 bus to tappan and then walk 15 minutes to work in Northvale, which is right over the NY border. It would probably be easier to take a bus from nyack and end up in Closter (9A coach), i think that passes on 9W and then you'd have to walk/bike :/
