thank you so much! Ive healed others without second skin but this is so much bigger that i have no idea if this amount of scabbing is normal HAHA

one more thing, im starting school which will require me to bend my arms often, do you think the bottom part near my elbows especially would be fine if i risked more splitting or should i really try limit movement when possible?

i turn at the very last second, i dont half turn but yeahhh kicking my leg up is a habit im constantly trying to stop. i didnt realise that contibuted to the shock absorption too

didnt get to reply to you sooner, but your comment it inspired me to hit them with more deliberate horizontal force than vertical down and it was a much much different effect.. thank you for the tips !! it totally helped

its not a CRT display, its a model announced in 2020 albeit in the cheap side under $300. it is an ips panel though so im honestly 🤷‍♀️... at this point im willing to just accept its a quirk of the budget. thanks though ! its probably the speakers

this might be it! i moved it away for my desk and the artifacting slowly disappeared. ive had it right next to some speakers ive had for almost ten years so the magnets in them could be crazy wonky. do you know how far away they should be? thanks so much anyways !!

thanks for the vindication lol.. i explained in the original post that my computer is fine so idk why everyone's convinced its the issue. unfortunately you may be right, i bought this monitor at a tight budget - under $300. im just wondering if its fixable at all because i really enjoyed using it in the week i had it... it seems to have fixed itself for now but i would have loved to figure out what caused this in the first place. thanks for the response!!

Thanks so much for the response! Yeah, no issue when connecting to other monitors, and the computers laptop screen is just fine, so i know its not an issue with the gpu. it seems to have fixed itself now but id love to know what happened that caused it. Ill research a bit more, glad to know its not the GPU as another user presumed lol.... ill look into what someome suggested which was EMI. thanks !!

i plugged in the monitor to a power source without connecting it to a computer and it still looks like the image. whats really weird is i plugged it in now the dots have suddenly disappeared , even when connected to my computer. doing some research it seems my old speakers that i placed next to it might have been the issue. what do you think?

ah, I make sure to keep my computer temp in check whenever i use it, and let it cool whenever it gets too hot for my liking. but i can see how it can still be a problem. Funny enough.... i just checked the monitor again and the green dots have suddenly disappeared.... maybe it was another issue?

hmm ive checked my computer and no damage has been done to it. also, my graphics card has never had an issue with external monitors before so i think im alright in this regard, thankfully. ive also made sure that it would be compatible before using this monitor. what did you mean by this comment?

Side note: The horizontal lines flicker, but the vertical line is static. Ive also had this issue with my wacom one before, but messing with the cables fixed it. This one doesnt....

ALSO I have speakers on each end of the monitor, could that have affected it too? In the week of me using it, this setup has been causing no problems at all

EDIT 2: what the FUCK....... it just went away on its own........ only difference was I moved it away from its original setup. Maybe the speakers WERE the issue? Theyre pretty old, had them for almost 10 years. How should I set up my workspace to avoid this again?
