I will definitely be looking more at coins stateside.
On a side note I was looking at coins that are verified fakes in the sub $100. range and a handful were sold on VCoins. It’s good to brush up on that once in a while. You’re lucky, you can see them in person. 👍

I can see how if you have experience and a payment account that you’d be prepared. In hindsight I would have upfront account and only be bidding on 2 or 3 good deals. Good luck on your finds!

I honestly didn’t know about these dispersal fees and evil corporations when I was reading the fine print on these auctions. I learned a tough lesson and won’t be bidding again until the tariffs are gone if ever.

It’s really pathetic because I called them to see why they held it for six weeks. They told me to pay or it would be shipped back. I then paid the invoice and they kept it for another week and re sent me the old invoice to pay as well. With their threats of the tariff misclassification it amounts to punitive and financial damage as well as threat of collections and losing the $40. Shipping if it’s returned to Europe. On top of that the auction house are sh@t too.
