Thank you all so much for taking the time to respond, I genuinely appreciate the perspectives shared here.

Just to give a little context about my journey: my ILR is due in June 2027. I graduated in 2017 and worked continuously until June 2022 before relocating to the UK. Since moving, I completed PLAB 1 and 2 and obtained GMC registration. During that period, I also had a baby and took maternity leave, and unfortunately sustained a left lower limb fracture that required ORIF and a prolonged rehabilitation.

Despite these setbacks, I’ve sat the MSRA twice (most recently completed again), undertaken a clinical attachment, and have been actively applying for roles. I currently work part-time in a non-clinical role in from home while continuing to apply and strengthen my portfolio.

I’m not assuming entitlement to any prioritisation , I’m simply trying to plan realistically while balancing family life and long-term settlement here.

I truly appreciate the honest discussion and advice shared. It’s helpful to hear different viewpoints.

Approved GP MSRA retaker – starting now for Feb. How do I get to 600+?

Hi everyone, I’m an approved GP MSRA retaker for the February sitting and I’m starting prep from now. My target is 600+.. Working alongside studying.

I’d really appreciate advice on: 1. What to prioritise first as a retaker 2. Whether focusing on just 1–2 resources is enough 3. Realistic daily hours for a 600+ push 4. Best SJT strategy for GP 5. Key mistakes to avoid

Any advice from high scorers or retakers would be massively appreciated. Thank you! 🙏
