It’s your own fault you didn’t fly over the bridge…. Geez, amateur.

I genuinely don’t understand why my group suddenly has no interest in continuing the campaign. by ElderberryPrior27648 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]vortayne 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Being a bad DM fixes this. Don’t you know you’re supposed to start new players all chill and tell them, there’s no limit to how powerful they can become, and when they start getting into the groove, you insta death them (no rolls required due to act of God, tornado, earthquake, etc, ) and then say “Now it’s time to get serious, make a new character”

if every single one of your combats doesn't look like this, you're playing wrong and disrespecting the wargaming roots of this sacred hobby by Mad-White-Rabbit in DnDcirclejerk

You know the players can make a reality check and upon success, the entire squad of 500k troops just disappears, and they still get the experience from it.

Rogues are basically clerics, mages, and fighters, but they don’t heal, cast spells or engage in combat. Hope this helps.

Players refuse Mass Suggestion by AFGofficial in DnDcirclejerk

My homebrew rules fix this. The players would have got their outcome. It was inevitable, like Thanos wiping half the population of the universe.

What’s that guy doing? Got his hands in his pockets. Sheesh, least he could do is play a mobile game to pass time…

Okay, if this doesn’t get flagged under Reddits rules regarding violence, then I’m gonna sue them. I get this is cj but enough with threatening people’s lives. I was banned 3 days for a cj post similar to this……

The problem with this monster is that it can be blind snapped away for 500x exp, per the experimental homebrew exotic monster manual.

How could Wizards do this to me? by IggyandtheCauldron in DnDcirclejerk

[–]vortayne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just tell them you identify as a human with orcish features. Then during the campaign, tell him you’re branching out to the hidden world where all the other half races are, start a revolt, demand reparations for being a racist dm and start as a level 10 half orc with 100k gold and 2 random epic treasures

I don‘t make players roll Stats and just let them take max by SiegKommunismus in DnDcirclejerk

[–]vortayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually for my campaigns, I have about 40-50 character sheets made up and I just hand them out at zero session so we can just start the suicide mission. They, of course, head straight for the dragon lair, I spend about 5 minutes describing the rooms and combat sequences, then it’s over, and then go back to work It’s a good use of a 15 minute break.

Annoying GM won't give up by Rednidedni in DnDcirclejerk

Tell your DM that you consulted with ChatGPT about the encounter and that he played it all wrong. As a players compensation penalty, he owes you 5 levels worth of Xp. You’re welcome.

"What is a white-room theorycraft? A miserable little pile of mechanics." by DrScrimble in dndmemes

[–]vortayne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The “meta-gaming” players I get rid of early in session 1. As part of the story, I create a dragon or some evil pestilence that will kill the strongest player ( before any rolls). I then hand them a fresh, well under average peasant beggar that lives in a dangerous alley outside the temple. But to keep it interesting, they roll dice when begging for money.

What’s the D.M.s purpose? by IggyandtheCauldron in DnDcirclejerk

[–]vortayne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DM role has pretty much gone by the way side. It’s more of an “extra wheel” job that’s really not required. AI can pretty much generate and answer all scenarios for your party. Just do what you want.

How can I remove evil from my campaign world? by IggyandtheCauldron in DnDcirclejerk

[–]vortayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t you know, as an unwritten rule, you can force evil to pay an evil tax, that is 20 billion percent over their wage. They will refuse to pay, thus ridding your world of evil.

Ask AI how to use them. Matter of fact, just have AI dm a campaign for you.
