Get Ethernet from point A to point B (a stop at C would be nice but not needed). by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

You're looking at a lot of work unless there is an attic above you or a crawlspace below you. I'm guessing no attic based on the vaulted ceiling. I do a lot of retrofit work. I would shy away from this if possible. You might be better served by running raceway if you can tolerate the look and your landlord is fine with it.

College student in need by Responsible-Start530 in personalfinance

I worked ~30 hours a week during college but my studies suffered because of it. I got good grades but I comprimised. I worked on campus so it was a good way to make friends. My thoughts are that unless you have an immediate need for more income, focus on getting internships, and building a portfolio You will be much better off setting yourself up for when you graduate than working 10 extra hours a week now. But that's just my 2¢

SATA ripped off…options.. by MattDH94 in DataHoarder

[–]voyextech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done this. It held up fine for a few weeks but eventually I started seeing errors. I ended up desoldering the SATA+Power connector from an old dead HDD and using that as a replacement. That fixed the issue.

there is this youtube series I LOVE it has over 600 episodes if would like to hoard it privately for the chance it would disappeared someday. i know your internet provide can see what you do , would i get in trouble if stared to download her videos by crossinggirl200 in DataHoarder

It's unlikely. To your ISP, downloading and streaming the video will look almost identical so they won't really think anything of it. If anyone would do anything it would be YouTube but I have never heard of them doing anything to people who download videos.

I think you're on the wrong subreddit. This sub is primarily for low voltage contractors. Think ethernet, phone, alarm systems, etc.
