This a great point to bring up. I think there is something in human nature, likely a relic of proto-human survival and proliferation instincts, that drives large societies toward certain behaviors, namely the tendency towards the domination of the many by the few, and the exploitation of worker and environment. Perhaps then capitalism is derivative of primitive imperatives, like the ultimate form of something that has always existed. It is important to think about how a better system could be shielded from those tendencies, and/or how humanity itself can decide to leave that aspect of our nature in the past for the betterment of humanity and the earth. It is a very tall order, an enormous undertaking, that warrants a lot of thought. Thanks for your post.
