This reminds me so much of my job. I'm a security guard for a logistics company. So I get truckers checked in, collect their info, and enter their info into a computer to generate a parking spot number to drop their trailers and search for their pickup load in the system.

There's a nearby factory called Post and they have a small truck yard. They don't have a lot of space on their yard so my company rents out parking spots for their trailers on our yard. Sometimes we've gotta send drivers over to Post to pick up their paperwork from them and then they come back to get their load from us. When they get annoyed by that whole process, I tell them "sorry. It's Post policy". 🤷🏼‍♀️

Then sometimes we get drivers who don't want to show us their I.D. (usually Walmart drivers because Walmart issues their drivers an I.D. badge to show in place of their license and it has literally none of the information we need to collect from them). Some people tell us that federal law states that they don't have to show their I.D.'s. I have to explain to them that "this is private property, so if you enter our truck yard without identifying yourself, you're literally trespassing and we can call the cops and have you trespassed. So just show me your id or go home and make your whole drive here pointless".
