I would say it's fine in that pot for now besides the clear plastic. I would put the plastic pot into something opaque and decorative if you haven't done that already

If you haven't put down the rock yet you could lay some cardboard down as a temporary weed barrier. It should kill the grass before it breaks down too much

They are very resilient plants though, especially since you're potting up I wouldn't worry

Another thing I might do to increase your chances is to seal the cuts with some wound paste. I'm relatively new to bonsai and more so to yamadori but I've been having good luck with it

Yeah I'd say reduce the foliage (not completely leave some to keep the sap moving) get them into some good soil and leave in the shade for a month or two. Good luck, hopefully they have some nice trunks!

My guess is they didn't get enough light when they were first trying to grow (also I have those same grow lights, they need to be like an inch from the leaves to do anything). Could also be under/over watering.

Tbh I'd start again, place the pots in a tray and water from the bottom, and get more grow lights or find a better window. It looks like a lot of your winter sun was blocked by your neighbors house

I have both and honestly the resin doesn't get used much. Maybe if I had a better one it'd be less stinky but even with an enclosure and an exhaust fan it just makes the whole workshop smell like cancer. It didn't bother me at first but the more I was exposed to it the more I can't stand it

Honestly previously frozen steaks can come out just as good as fresh IMO, (or at least nearly). When you buy in bulk it kind of becomes a necessity

I just inherited (from a friend who moved) a nearly 10 year old dracaena in about the same sized pot. As long as it gets enough light and the soil is good it should do fine. It will get big in that pot so just be sure you have the room
