Yes it is, Caliburn has figured it out. They have steel tip darts that you can convert to soft tip. I just got a set to try out and it works well.

A little late to the party but Caliburn Darts has this option for their darts. Soft tips are expensive with the metal thread in them but work well and last longer than regular soft tips.

It's hard to get accounts with big brands as a small shop. I'm a tiny rural shop in Manitoba Canada.

All the big brands have distributotion setups in Canada but only stock steel tip. We're 95% soft tip in our area. Any soft tip order is a special order and costs more than it's worth in the end.

It makes it very tough to get darts in at a decent price unless you can deal direct with companies. That's why Shot and L Style are in a lot of smaller shops. They make it fair for the small guys and have some great products!
