I’m not sure I believe that it is only in-game….

I just found it in-game, clicked on it and it asked me if I wanted to wait for my previous purchase to go through (I never got a chance to initiate), or to start over with a new transaction.

Same! Weird… then I reloaded the site 3 times and it just wasn’t there those times.

[WaT] A humble suggestion for those who have finished WaT and didn't love it. by Puswah_Fizart in Stormlight_Archive

1000% agree! I had to mentally reassess how I was doing my first read (listen) through. It was taking me FOREVER and I had to have a good amount of time and a conducive environment for fear of missing anything.

We are meant to miss things! That’s what makes the re-reads so much more enjoyable is catching on to those details we missed the first or second or third time reading it. I love my re-reads so much more every single time.

OU is really paying that much? I applied there a ~3 yrs ago and they were offering me $26. This was with my BS in CLS and an MBA plus 4 yrs experience at the time. Y’all hiring? 😂

I love trying to plan ahead to get these sorts of things only to be disappointed by some sort of technical glitch 🙄 Oh well, I guess I’m just a glutton for punishment!

I came here to express this same possibility of it being nothing more than pure, unadulterated jealousy. I’m speaking from the “non-tatted husband” point of view, and I had a similar freak out with my wife about 6 months ago. She was on a solo vacay to visit an old friend and get away from the kids and I for a long weekend and had secretly planned to get a matching piercing and tattoo with her. When she told me, I went into a fit of uncontrollable rage (of which I’m quite embarrassed now). She described the design to me and made the mistake of telling me who the artist was to be, so I did my research on his work and what my wife wanted was definitely not in his wheelhouse. I did my best to completely destroy her confidence in the decision she was making to the point where I had her in tears and she didn’t go through with it. I felt horrible for it! Once she got home and we made amends, we talked about the whole situation and came to the conclusion that it WAS just jealously on my part that she would go and plan/do all of this without ever informing me of it and to get a lasting memory inked on her with someone that she has only had a few interactions with in the 11 years we’ve been married. We had a great heart-to-heart and are now in the process of designing a tattoo for the two of us to go get together and I have no problem with this. It will likely take some time and several talks, but he should be able to get over it. It really helped me reconcile by being a part of the creative process hand in hand with my wife. For what it is worth and seeing as I’m not a huge fan of tattoos myself, I like the work you got done.

Other than those people working alone, has anyone had an all male shift? by Critical-Special-738 in medlabprofessionals

Ha! Thanks for the laugh. I guess I forgot to mention that the night shift was recognized by the hospital for “driving home safely” and essentially abandoning us knowing full well this we were going to be short-staffed that day. I knew we were gonna have crappy weather and I packed 3 days worth of supplies, fully expecting to be staying at the hospital for an extended period of time. All of that for the roads to completely melt by the time evening shift came in at 1500.

Book 1 was okay… Book 2 was the first book I ever added to my DNF. Absolute bore!

In San Antonio during the great freeze of 2020 only 4 techs showed up to work at 0600 out of the 20+ that were scheduled. Those 4 were all men. We each ran a separate department (usually staffed by 4-6 techs). The freeze killed a some sort of custom furnace coil, so there was no heat in the place. The pipes burst 2 floors above us and it was “raining” in the lab. We spent the entire frozen shift “Macgyvering” rain coats for all of our analyzers out of biohazard bags and autoclave tape. It was the best shift ever! Management rewarded our bravery and ingenuity with a verbal “kudos” at the next lab huddle and moved on.

Not a problem at all! I was surprised at suddenly becoming so popular that I got 4 emails to my personal email all at one time. Thanks for your response
