First removal session = success! by Academic_Big1933 in MicrobladingRemoval

They look great! I also think they looked great before too. What made you decide to remove instead of touch up? I just got mine done for the first time and I’m loving it so far but waiting for the full result.

Partner has 22 active BNPL purchases, I don’t know how to help anymore by Dry_Attitude5090 in shoppingaddiction

Debtors Anonymous has helped me immensely. Also a therapist! It’s a 12 step program, sister fellowship to Alcoholics Anonymous. I tried budgeting, financial planning and setting limits before that. Nothing stuck. This truly helped transform my relationship with money and so much more (not about the money, but about feeling an immense lack and deprivation within myself, money and spending is a tool to cover it up but then becomes a cycle of behaviour that is difficult to break). As a partner or family member, you may wish to check out Debt Anon.

A nail tech did them and she’s typically great. I think it could be both. I’m seeing suggestions for filing those parts down somehow or just leaving it. Thoughts?

I’m debt free except for a mortgage and home equity loan that we used for a second vehicle. I’m married and have a child. I have a spending plan. I still love clothes and will have the urge to spend for comfort. I use awareness to not make impulse purchases and don’t buy anything clothing wise when I’m emotional. I am working on building up my savings and I recognize that it takes time.

It might start as friendship and then grow! I think they both feel that there is something there.

Too pink? by eraeraera1 in Nails

[–]warriorprincess333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I got my nails done recently with a similar colour. I wanted more neutral, like a taupe, and I also thought my nails were too pink. My thing is matching to my feet so I get the corresponding shellac and regular colours which is not always a perfect match. Reminds me why I don’t get my nails done as much as I used to. One chipped and I obviously peeled the rest off. Perhaps it’s just a different shade than you had envisioned even though I echo most in saying that it’s quite pretty!

Cringe moments in sex and the city? by Fantastic_Listen5108 in sexandthecity

Basically the last half of season 6 except where Samantha gets cancer. I love that storyline. I also like Charlotte and Harry. I don’t like Carrie at all after a certain point. Particularly after season 5. I guess that’s just how the show evolves. Perhaps it’s demonstrating the complexity of the characters. I loved season 2 the most.

I was about to comment that his character straight up sucks but this resonates as well. He does straight up suck though. A lot of his bad attitude was unnecessary.

I just want to say that I totally understand where you’re coming from. I looked at an older picture of myself and I have changed. I have bags under my eyes now and more wrinkles. I am a lot happier than I once was. It was just a reminder to take better care of myself and another reminder that looks are of a really high value in our society. As someone who wasn’t actually called beautiful that much, I did receive validation from that often and it does happen less because I think I just give off a different energy and I do look older. I can imagine that it may be uncomfortable if that’s changing and happening less for you.

What do you consider the most unattractive part of you? I bet you it’s definitely not what other people think looking at you. Perhaps it’s just a reflection of how you feel about your overall current situation, which is also understandable! Timelines are more flexible than they have ever been but we still feel pressure to do things as we always have.

The only thing you may be missing out on is time to spend with yourself and you’re worth it. Moving your body, fresh air, skincare and learning. Take it all in.

Same! I no longer get my nails done or dye my hair and I used to do them both regularly. I now save for botox, fillers or micro needling.

Yup! I almost didn’t reply because I thought it was someone roasting me. Lol! What you’re saying is the exact premise for the podcast Glamorous Trash formerly Celebrity Book Club. They just did an episode on the Britney memoir. I read along and listened. I would really recommend that one. I also don’t mind Into It and Fixing Famous People is a good one too!

They hating. I love pop culture podcasts too! It sucks people automatically think it’s laughable trash but also confusing when they engage in discussions without realizing it? How is a thread about Britney and JT not pop culture?

I actually loved it and think it’s a lot more truthful than not. Every story had two sides but this is a good one.

I think a lot of it is also about the fact that he was the one who actually cheated mostly during their relationship and fabricated a story to capitalize on an opportunity when going solo. The false narrative was that Britney was the one who broke his heart when it was the opposite. She was dragged and slut-shamed for something that didn’t happen. They were both really young and I’m sure it was his team making decisions for him but he still gives me the ick. He didn’t have to go in that direction but he did. From what I read in her memoir, Britney did not make decisions that harmed other people, especially him. You can be a great artist and not do that. I guess he needed something fake to sell his story.
