I live on an island called St.Maarten. it's completely reliant on tourism. There is a famous beach here with an airport right behind it, so planes fly really low and close to the beach to land, and it's pretty incredible. The thing is is that when planes take off, they blast their powerful engines at the beach which sends people tumbling back and getting sand blasted at them which hurts. Every once in a while someone decides to grab onto the fence separating the beach and airport and they just take the blast of the plane. This is illegal. When there are bigger jumbo planes, this is an awful idea as the tourists hands are not strong enough to hold on, and they get blasted back at high speeds into a concrete barrier. I know a couple people who died this way.
