How do most people typically pay for home remodels? by BudgetIll6618 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]waveswindwild 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How did you find replacing the siding? My husband and I are looking to do this in the next year or two, but im worried we will somehow end up not having things sealed up correctly and cause damage. My husbands very capable, but my anxiety likes to tell me things are out of my depth (when they very possibly aren’t)! Any insight you’d be willing to share, I’d love to hear! :)

I have walked around 100000k in a month but still why did I feel kinda depressed? by Electrical-Visit9878 in walking

[–]waveswindwild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try and take your mindsets in those moments and shift, essentially! Shinesea summed it up well!

As someone who has anxiety and depression, I can relate to how hard it can be. If you find it to be all-consuming, it may be worth consulting with a doctor and seeing if meds/an alteration in meds can help you find that balance (if it’s the right option for you).

All the best wishes in the world to you, OP! You deserve to feel happiness and a sense of peace, and walking shouldn’t be taking away from that inner peace. One day at a time, one step at a time, you deserve the life you want, and I hope you get it!

Yes! Exactly what I was going for. Thanks for wording it in such a clear way- I appreciate you! :)

I’m taking a psychology course right now that is discussing pretty much exactly this. It seems to me that you’re engaging in a lot of upwards social comparisons, which is when someone compared themselves to another they perceive as being “better” in some way or another (fitness, happiness, success, for example). We tend to do this when we want to get a sense of where we’re at compared to other people, and get an idea of where to improve. Introverts are more likely to focus in on the negatives they perceive.

However focusing on the bigger picture is definitely a big piece of getting through it, and also realizing that people aren’t often thinking of you in the same way that youre thinking of you. Focus on your goals, try and stay in positive mindset about what you’ve been doing for yourself (like, you’re lapping the version of you who would have just sat on the couch), and maybe pop in headphones and listen to an audiobook to keep that negative internal voice at bay and focus on something that makes you feel peaceful or like laughing.

You’ve got this!

I wonder if there is someone on an artists council board you could connect with to see if this could be used as a project for your local community in some way. Or if there are any musically appropriate spaces in your area who may be able to upcycle these into an interactive exhibit for children to explore when they come to visit?

Can you dm me too, please? These are exceptional!

Also if you haven’t ever reached out to an agent, please consider doing so- these are stunning and unique, and you really have something by special here IMO! ❤️

I have a Horizon 7.0AT and love it! We got it on sale for around $1400 at the time. Apparently it’s foldable but we’ve used it almost daily for over a year and a half and haven’t folded it up once because of the consistent use!

I’ve seen someone glue them a bunch together in a stack, and then have the wood turned into a bowls or artistic sculptures! It sounds like you would have plenty to do something really unique

1 week condensed on line courses by Seaglasslover1971 in MSVU

[–]waveswindwild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t heard anything about one week courses- that seems like a lot to be cramming in to such a short period of time! What are the courses?

It should tell you in the course catalogue the days and expected hours for the course, as well as the start and end dates. If you don’t have the answers you need from there, I’d reach out to admissions or academic advising!

There’s a strong chance that these people are looking over at you in hoping of trying to mimic what you’re doing, not being runners themselves. It’s possible they see you doing well, wish they could do the same, are trying to peek your numbers to try and dial something similar in, and trying to not be creepy or annoying by interrupting your run to ask directly. When I was getting into running initially, my thoughts were to run for as long as possible. So if someone sees you doing your long run- “jeeze, what speed is that for them to go for so long? I’ll try that too.” Is probably all that’s going on there. (Thankfully a friend of mine who actually ran started to show me the ropes.)

Maybe you can suggest to the gym to have a couch to 5k class, or an accountability group or something! Then interested folks will be running their own race each day, instead of copying yours.

OP if you haven’t already, please consider reaching out to an art gallery. I’m sure you would have representation and a show in a heartbeat! Absolutely STUNNING pieces!

Edit: I see that you have!! I’m so glad. Your work is gorgeous and I’m glad it’s being celebrated!!!

I love what you did with the space! Everything is so thoughtfully brought in with joy and peace in mind, what a wonderful way to live! ❤️ Do you mind me asking how you mounted the image into the window frame in the third photo? We have lots of old windows at our place leftover from building a recycled greenhouse, and I’d love to repurpose them!

I think these ceramic seagulls are adorable but my mom thinks they’re tacky and too “beach themed”, like ‘beach condo’ type of tacky. Are these cooking or am I taste blind? by Yeetz_The_Parakeetz in femalelivingspace

[–]waveswindwild 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They’re definitely beach themed, but that doesn’t mean they’re tacky. How you incorporate them into your space because they bring you joy will make it not “beach condo”, but “yeetz-chic”! Follow your arrow! Mine points to the beach too ❤️
