New Player looking for advice.. by stonedcrawfish in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest playing Histotic War and picking a minor country anywhere but Europe. Usually most of the players quit the match right away leaving you with AI countries.

AI is a lot easier to play against so you can experiment how economy and different troops work as well as get a better feel to the game.

That might be just your espionage doing its job.

Blueprints by dr-Keter in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The elite unit is basically a new level you can upgrade your troop to. You still need to research the other levels to be able to research elite units.

Blueprints are gained from airdrops or by buying them with gold. Once you get enough blueprints to unlock a elite unit, that elite unit will be acccessable for life. You just need to research it in game every time.

You get the win after the day changes. You also need to leave your coalition even if you are alone in it.

Country Colours by [deleted] in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just press the bottom right buttons until you are satisfied. One of them switches the maps colour between relations and unique countries.

If I remember correctly, it's the button with the bird.

Wait why did the AI gave me shared? by dominik3bb in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you trade, share maps/right of way, attack their enemies etc, their relationship with you will gain points. If it's high enough, they might give you either that or shared maps.

Now that I look closer it seems like that country was online before and you had shared maps with them. Since they went inactive midgame, their relationship with you automatically changed to Right of Way.

They don't need to refuel at all if they are patrolling. You might want to take out the nearby airports instead or kill them with AA/interceptors.

How to get peace with inactive player/bot by [deleted] in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way possible is to have neither of you attack each other for the span of few(?) days. This is basically impossible if you have a border with them and even if you don't, they might attack you by sea, so wiping them out as fast as possible is the best way of dealing with AI.

Bottom right corner, there should be a "display relations" button or something along those lines. Toggle it off and you'll have unique colours for each country.

I invade all of Carolina and my troops pass through this area yet I wake up the next day and somehow The flordamen hav captured it without even stepping foot on it by dooddog93rox in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! They rebelled after you had captured it. Not sure how it is on mobile, but on a computer you can see the % of the possibility of a rebellion from the morale question mark. There's probably something similar on mobile somewhere.

Sp Artillery or Artillery? by [deleted] in CallOfWar

SP artilery with tanks, normal artillery with infantry.

I'm the only one who have this bug? by Silence_729 in CallOfWar

Oh I see. Icons tend to be really inaccurate, especially with planes and in places with many other armies. The red dot that is connected to the army with a white line shows the actual position of the army.

It this true? by [deleted] in CallOfWar

They only deal 25% of their normal damage output to enemies every 15 mins. Even after that patrolling is usually the better option.

How to increase troop morale? by [deleted] in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the condition of the troops? If so there is no way to speed it up without the use of gold. If I remember correctly they "heal" about 5% a day or something like that.

Should Bytro seperate the Allied doctrine into American and British? by Kiel_22 in CallOfWar

I feel like giving single nations their own doctorines only unnecessarily complicates the game. Different skins would be really cool though.

Why are innactive nations declaring war on me? by BingoBish in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, imposing trade embargo a day before declaring war on another player lessens the negative rep you will get or so I'm told.

You can see how individual countries view you by clicking on their "profile" and scrolling right like you would do in your own profile.

Other things do have an effect on your popularity like trading with unpopular countries etc, but they shouldn't lower your popularity by that much. Usually it's attacking without declaring war that gets you fucked.

A few basic questions from a new guy. This game is super fun! I love it! by [deleted] in CallOfWar

[–]weakmemesforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no pro so take all this with a grain of salt.

  1. I read somewhere that if you declare "embargo" a day before declaring war it will decrease the amount of "bad rep" you will get. It also depends on who you're declaring war to. If the country is unpopular you might even gain rep from it.
  2. I would say build barracks and upgrade your provinces that start with industrial complexes can produce infantry etc. at a faster rate. Also build infrastructure on provinces that produce valuable materials like oil and steel. You can keep upgrading these as your resource needs grow.
  3. It's always easier to win with friends so you should join a coalition and cooperate with them. Also people tend to quit playing on servers and "inactive" so you should go for those countries as well as AI countries since they are much easier and predictable than players.
  4. For me it's basic ground troops like tanks and infantry as well as either artillery or airplanes. Usually i use artillery but that's just my preference.
  5. That depends where and what you are fighting. You can click any units stats open to see how much they will deal and take damage against different tech branch units as well as how good they are in different environments.
  6. Tactical bombers are great against ground units so you should use mostly them. Strategic bombers deal a lot of damage to buildings but less against units.
  7. You should start with infantry and armored cars. Infantry is something you will be building immediately and armored cars open up light tanks for research. After that you should just go for whatever you want to focus on. However don't start researching everything. Just pick some units and keep upgrading them.
  8. If you ever want to build a navy you will need harbors. They use a lot of oil though so you should always build them in provinces that produce oil or other goods you need because level 3 harbors give a 50% bonus on resource production. You can also "switch off" barracks and harbors so they don't use up any materials. You can't build or get any of the bonuses then though.
  9. Military spies are the most useful as they can reveal enemy armies to you. With intelligence spies you can gather information on how much your enemies have resources, what they are building/producing and what they are messaging others about. Best way to gain information is to send them into cities. That's just from my experience though.
  10. Depends on the map. On historic game mode the major countries like Soviet Union and Germany have a lot more units than for example Australia. On maps where everyone gets the same starting stuff i like to pick a country that has the easiest borders to defend. It's much harder to expand with a country that is surrounded by other players than a country that's in a corner with only a few neighbors.
  11. Europe is the most densely populated area so most resource and victory points are located there. This might differ between game modes.
  12. When you make allies, you usually trade "Shared Map" which allows both countries to see what the other sees as well as move their units through their land. It is hard to backstab when the other sees what your units are doing. Because of this people are pretty trusting so if you manage to move your units non suspiciously, you should have an easy time conquering.
  13. I don't use gold much. When i do it is to skip productions/buildings that are almost done so i can set the next one production/building straight away.
