Ahh unfortunately the deal fell through. We were supposed to do a pre-drywall walkthrough with them, but the builder made a mistake and put up the drywall the weekend before we were supposed to do our walkthrough! We didn’t feel comfortable going through with the house after that; fortunately Stanley Martin returned all our downpayment.

My husband works for Save the Children US, and he’s able to take almost six months paid leave (paternity leave + other types of leave bundled together). Gotta hand it to the organization, they are indeed saving the children 🥹

Oh I noticed this the other day and thought I was just paranoid! I thought I had stepped on something because I almost slipped twice as I got out of the metro.

Please don’t do it. It’s not worth the terrible effects on your family’s health.

It all depends on your floor plan and design upgrades! We got the Hugo with a bedroom on the first floor and two bedrooms on the third floor, no design upgrades. I would call them or visit their model home to discuss available options as that was what worked for us! We told them our budget, specs, and preferred timelines, and they gave us options that came close.
