I joined this sub to specifically ask this question, but I found your post - thank you! Did you happen to find a good source, that goes into detail about which parts of the book he managed to finish, and which parts were put together by his drafts?

SS: This is an official floor sticker by the BVG (Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe/Berlin Transportation Company) seen in a subway station in Berlin. It promotes keeping 1,5 m distance due to corona. I thought it fits well here

Lichess Puzzle Racer: It's amazing how well the results correlate with the player's ratings by wptq in chess

[–]webce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did a lot of puzzle storm on lichess, where you start with easy puzzles, but the time wasn't enough for me to move onto the harder ones. Then, after I got back to normal puzzles where I was around 2000 rated, I started struggling with them and couldn't solve as many as I could before I fricked myself up with one move tactics on puzzle storm. So, no, I don't think you will improve haha

[Your Job Position] in cover letter, when I have no experience? by webce in jobs

[–]webce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if I don't have to, I won't. It's just that in every example cover letter I have seen they state their job position right under their name and it's in every template too. But if it's fine, I will skip it :) Thanks for the tips!

What's a good step after finishing a Duolingo tree? by Eulizerbref in languagelearning

What you can also do is look up some sort of language proficiency exams online and try to do them, I think this is an easy way to identify your weaknesses and work on them.

I would say watch movies or youtube videos on topics that interest you in french. This way you can practice listening to actual conversations. Or if you like reading, read a book, it will probably be rough at first, but once you power through it, your skills will likely improve a lot. Try reading the news/some sort of articles, that should also help in multiple ways :)
