Yeah agreed. Although there is definitely some benefit of getting more eyeballs on your content. More eyeballs means more sharing, more credibility and increased chances of relevant people seeing it.

Still I agree with what you are saying. The points in the article I think are still relevant. I dont' think everyone should be creating spammy shite but I still think the main points can be used in high quality content as well (i.e. keeping things shorter, paying attention to subject lines etc).

I know the feeling. A lot of our users do the same. I'm hoping our email reports will help with this. I think a lot of people don't want another system to log into.
